Leaving the safety issue aside, nuclear power plants are not fiscally sound (too many subsidies from the government) and since we are all capitalist this cannot be tolerated. Subsidies may be acceptable to start technologies to get them going, but if it can’t survive on its own now after all these years, it’s time to end it.

It's unstable and borne of our supreme human arrogance. Solar, wind, fuel cell are the real, SAFE clean energies of the future.
