Decriminalize it but don't legalize it. Caught with it, go to court and pay a fine. No jail and nothing on your record.

Marijuana side effects include physical problems like breathing difficulties and deteriorating physical abilities. Despite a popular belief, marijuana side effects speed up the heart, blood and breathing rate. The body is taxed more and this speeds up the aging process just like methamphetamines do. The marijuana side effects from this extra exertion on the body include a higher risk for lung cancer, heart attacks and strokes.

Marijuana side effects also wreak havoc on the brain when the drug is used habitually. The natural chemical balance of the brain is disrupted affecting the pleasure centers and regulatory systems. The ability to learn, remember and adapt quickly to changes is impaired by marijuana use. Depression often occurs with marijuana usage, which feeds into the cycle of more drug use to treat the pain created by drug use. This cycle of addiction is very powerful and users soon find that they cannot stop using the drug even if they want to.

Any other questions?

Because liquor is far more dangerous and because medications for minor physical problems have for worse side effects and they are legal even if only by prescription and the taxes lost by smuggling would practically cure the recession.

Those who support marijuana are likely fellow drug addicts. They cannot kick the nasty habit which causes more cancer an tobacco smoke an well as second-hand contact.

You're not much of a doctor if you don't keep up on recent medical studies that proved that pot can actually help prevent some forms of cancer. You can check those findings by asking where I heard the study by calling Clear channel's Real Radio between the hours of 10am and 3pm eastern standard time at (877) 927-6969 and ask for Dr. Rich or Dr Glen. Or you can email them at dano@clearchannel.com, but you have to listen to the station after you email them because they don't email back. You can listen live at wzzr.com and if you want to argue your case that is just the place to do it.

Seems to me I heard this argument before... Let's see... Oh yeah it was back in prohibition when they said those who support the use of alcohol are already alcoholics.

that is yet something else that cannot be proven. and just because a person may be a recovering addict does not mean they still smoke weed. please, oh please know what you are talking about before you post ignorant responses.

Haha People are so worried about pot and even protest the use of it for medical reasons, when actually pot is already used in pill form. One of these pills is Maranol. I was prescribed Maranal when I had the stomach flu and it felt like I had smoked a joint. However it did help greatly.

But hang onto your seat because now there is a new (old) drug legally being studied according to the health channel that may get approved even faster than Maranol was and that one may make you forget about pot. This drug is called LSD.
