I think that maybe there are actual criminals that the law could really put there time and energy in to instead of people who smoke or sell marijuana. People pay almost 12 bucks for cigarettes. Imagine what they would pay for legalized marijuana cigarette.we could have laws similar to alcohol applied to marijuana.

Marijuana is illegal, so why even talk about something that you can't do? Is it that hard to just follow the laws enacted by the people you voted for? Just because more people view marijuana in a positive light, does not make it legal. Same thing to be said about gay marriage. Just because more people accept it does not make it right.
wow typical line spat back by a typical simple mind. and it is like Gay marriage you're right just because a bunch of right wing facist loving god people can't handle things they don't understand (BECAUSE THEY NEVER TRY) it should be illegal? that's stupid, you're stupid, continue living your blind life people like you are the weak. and I know you're stupid because you're naive enough to think anyone's vote counts still. we did not vote for these people lobbyists and money vote.

i don't really care anymore. I have accepted the fact it will never be legalized because it's potential is feared too much. it's amazing and if people wanna smoke weed they're going too whether its legal or not we know what it does for us and what dumbass rednecks think it does, the same rednecks that spit chew in their empty beer can while smoking a cigarette. its not addictive, im not gonna lie it's a bummer when you're out but normal users don't get the shakes or steal for it they just wait to get more or smoke resin (>.<)
Prohibition Kills

Mankinds laws that suppress the laws of Nature? Pretty Foolish, and Prohibition is really useless, alcohol Prohibition proved that well. When we spend more money fighting a 70+ year war on drugs then we do educating our young, I have a problem with that.

The government needs to do a better job at convincing the American voters if they want to continue on with this failed prohibition of marijuana. They claim that the 'plant' is dangerous and deadly, yet they can't provide any proof or credible evidence to back these claims up. If you want to know the FACTS about marijuana then click on the link below.

1. Increased tax revenues
2.regulates marijuana=cleaner and safer
3.Puts illegal dealers out of business-really will take a lot of violent criminals off the street, pot is a cornerstone of the street drug industry
4.Statistical proof that it is safer than current legal drugs
5.Jobs

the potential tax revenue from it would support the city/state
and the money saved from throwing people in jail for possession would be huge

Because cocaine, crack, heroin, ecstasy, morphine, adderall, lortabs, oxycodone, percocets, bath salts, alcohol and too many other substances are the real problem when it comes to substance abuse. No matter how hard systems try to degrade, deglamorize, and cast such shaded shadows on marijuana, marijuana is still causes no where near the amount of harm caused by hard or designer drugs.
