For various ailments & illnesses, marijuana has proven it's worth; for some people, this plant relieves symptoms like pain, nausea, loss of appetite, insomnia and depression.

Additionally, with all of the people practically floating in booze in this particularly boring city, it seems rather ridiculous that marijuana is labeled an "illicit drug." Your booze, ciggies, dip & "nerve pills" are all much more serious than good 'ole Mary Jane.

I find it interesting how many conservative decry the "Nanny State" but then turn around and support the governments efforts to control something like marijuana. Seems a little inconsistent to me.

I think it was Richard Nixon who appointed a commission to study marijuana. The commission's report stated that they could find no good reason for the government to regulate personal use of marijuana. That wasn't what Nixon wanted to hear so he threw it in the trash and launched the War on Drugs.

We've spent billions on this War on Drugs. We've surrendered many of our constitutional rights to it. There have been many deaths caused by it - what's it called - collateral damage, I think. THere is an entire law enforcement industry built on it. And, what have we accomplished?

Places that have decriminalized drugs have found that both drug use and crime have decreased. There are better ways to deal with the problem.

One of the problems that the marijuana reform movement consistently faces is that everyone wants to talk about what marijuana does, but no one ever wants to look at what marijuana prohibition does.

Marijuana never kicks down your door in the middle of the night and puts a fully loaded assault rifle in your face. Marijuana never locks up sick and dying people in cages with rapist and murders. Marijuana does not suppress medical research. Marijuana does not peek in bedroom windows. Marijuana does not take away kids scholarships.

Even if one takes every reefer madness allegation of the prohibitionists at face value, marijuana prohibition has done far more harm to far more people than marijuana ever could.

My brother did pot, made him an angry and selfish person. I hate the smell of it and while yes it is good for actual medical usage, I do not support recreational usage. My friends always do it and I can't stand it, I just wish it would go away.

"My brother did pot, made him an angry and selfish person"

Could it be that your brother was just an angry and selfish person who happened to also smoke pot?

its harmless, the marijuana seed is one of the most nutritioust seeds,it produces more oxygen than other plants and its been shown that it stimulates the brain to create more brain cells. it was made illegal for racist reason such as it makes a black man look at a white woman twice. lets stop the hate and this stupid war on marijuana and lets all smoke and lauph together. there are more serious crimes going on

Daily Horoscope for June 20

Sagittarius

Grab the chance to talk about your innermost feelings today, especially if you can confide in someone you trust. You don't have to make this conversation really serious or gut-wrenching, either, because even a relatively light-hearted chat will help you to release a lot of pent-up emotion. But do make sure that you do your fair share of listening as well as talking.
