Ive never seen a couple if guys smoke a joint and then beat each other up because they were high. I've never seen a woman get a little high and get raped because she lost all ability to use her judgement. I've never seen someone smoke marijuana and drive and kill a whole family on the road. If anything marijuana drivers drive slower than most elderly people can bicycle.
Most smokers stay indoors after lighting up. They want to chill out. Not beat on their kids. I've not seen this with people who drink regularly to the point of being drunk.
I've never heard the medics pronounce someone dead on the scene from an overdose of marijuana.
People who have a biased against marijuana because they believe it destroys peoples lives have a problem with people they associate with a certain lifestyle who smoke weed. Or have a problem with it for social reasons.
Other than that, I could go get myself drunk thanks to mouthwash or cough syrup over the counter. Not to mention access to a million Rx drugs that can easily kill you involuntarily.
Weed is the least of our problems.
For every story of marijuana destroying someones body
1.) More people die alcohol related drugs every month in Oklahoma than people have died from pot in the history of the world.
2.) The guy jumping lanes at 80 on the highway is the drunk. The guy in the right hand lane trying to do the minimum of 40 is the pot smoker.
3.) More people did from prescription drugs in Oklahoma every month than people have died from pot in the history of the world.
4.) More people die from shooting each other in a rage in Oklahoma every month than die from pot in the history of the world.

Which would explain, of course, why Oklahoma will put a pot smoker in jail for 30 years and give a church minister who admitted to molesting 10 kids only 10 years. Only in Okiebillyhoma.

I support it because Booze is legal to those old enough to buy & it is killing people every second.Tobacco dito, Why Mary Jane is illegal is because our Govt. can not TAX it. Anyone can grow it without ANY growing knowledge. This stuff makes better cloth than cotton & is benificial in many applications including those that have cancer yet it kills no one & opperating a motor vehicle is a snap compared to Jack Daniels.

i support for the simple fact that it helps. i would be taking pills for chronic pain, bi polar disorder, and epilepsy without it. not only does it help me with those issues but i'm severely underweight and it definitely helps my appetite. shame i jus moved to oklahoma and cant find nothing.

It is truly amoral that we allow politicians to parse the differences between the legalities of prescription drugs vs. marijuana...God provides us one for free, no chemical manipulation required, and, no proven health detriments. The other,....

Marijuana works as well as narcotic pain medicine with fewer side effects and you don't have to worry about dying when you take it.

better for you than a cigarette
Ingredients in a cigarette:
Ammonia: Household cleaner
Angelica root extract: Known to cause cancer in animals
Arsenic: Used in rat poisons
Benzene: Used in making dyes, synthetic rubber
Butane: Gas; used in lighter fluid
Carbon monoxide: Poisonous gas
Cadmium: Used in batteries
Cyanide: Deadly poison
DDT: A banned insecticide
Ethyl Furoate: Causes liver damage in animals
Lead: Poisonous in high doses
Formaldehiyde: Used to preserve dead specimens
Methoprene: Insecticide
Megastigmatrienone: Chemical naturally found in grapefruit juice
Maltitol: Sweetener for diabetics
Napthalene: Ingredient in mothballs
Methyl isocyanate: Its accidental release killed 2000 people in Bhopal, India in 1984
Polonium: Cancer-causing radioactive element
When you put your child in your car and roll up the windows, then light up,your child is breathing the above chemicals then you wonder while that child is always sick and having to take breathing treatments to breath, are you trying to kill your child?

You are a dumb ass and probably never have smoked. You probably don't deal with pain or mental illness on a daily basis.
