I support the legalization of this medicine it has many benificial qualities for pain.I personally think that it works much better than prescription meds for many things and its non addictive.I also beleive that instead of using it as an excuse for a so called gateway drug we should educate the consumer as well as regulate it accordingly.I also beleive it would be a great way to generate revenue for the the whole state which we all know it could use.

It's a gateway drug just like beer is a gateway alcohol, leading to hard liquor. Only problem is, they already have the TAX STRUCTURE in place for alcohol. When the gov't finds a way to make pot profitable enough for themselves, they'll legalize it, plain and simple. The trick, though, is that alcohol and pharmaceutical companies would lose market share. Of course, they give HUGE political contributions and spend millions on lobbyists to make sure they have limited competition. Politicians don't want to cut off their source of funding. Even losing politicians get to keep any contributions made to them, so why NOT get as many donations as you can.

The prohibition of anything makes no sense in a country that is supposed to be "free".

the drug czar said no way. all state pot laws suck, as far as the feds see it. the crack down on dispensery business in san diego and san francisco is a go from the obama admin. the feds eraticated over 460,000 pot plants in the mendocino national forest this past summer. californians plant millions of pot plants every season and thats not counting indoor crops. and there are whole lotta out of state plates around these parts nowadays...wonder why? the voters will cast their ballots...and thats what counts!

This is just silly. Whete is all the money from taxing booze and cigarettes going? And the lottery money? It's never really explained what it's spent on.
I don't really think marijuana is so bad, however, if it was legalized, I kind of hate to see what society would become. There are enough rude, stupid clueless people walking and driving around out there as it is.
