I would like to see people who have pain and depression get a drug that does not do the damage that the goverment medications have done to them for years...

People have sad excuses to alter their states of consciousness. Reality is a trip you should take. Pot does effect your ability to make judgments and is legally typed as a hallucinogen. Not something I would want people to use in general availability. Let's face it, the only people that want it legal are pot heads.

You're wrong. I don't smoke it and wouldn't even if it were legal but I support legalization. I don't drink either and it is legal and no better for you than marijuana in my eyes. I think alcohol may even be worse than marijuana. Compare the crimes associated with alcohol and the crimes associated with marijuana and ask yourself which is worse. I say legalize it and collect taxes on it. There is no logical reason to allow alcohol and not marijuana.

Pot should be legalized and heavily taxed.
Doing so would, in my opinion, eliminate a great financial burden due to the idiotic war waged on a naturally growing plant (it's a damn weed). Trying to eradicate it would be like trying to kill all poison ivy vines in the US.

Remove the burden on the justice and penal system.
Open up jail bunks for more serious threats to society rather than locking up potheads for having pot in their possession.

Don't judge someone for smoking pot while you yourself have your own habits such as taking a smoke break at work or having a beer with a meal.

Hell if everyone were potheads, we wouldn't have violent crimes. LOL

I have a degenerative nerve disorder. When I was diagnosed with it my doctors wanted to put me on 3 different kinds of pills. I played along for about 2 weeks, then I started getting lightheaded and dizzy. My doctor said to stop taking them. We talked about other medications that I could take. but they all have the same side effects. After doing some research on the internet I found out that one of the treatments for my disease is marijuana. There are 16 states that prescribe marijuana, I picked one and contacted a doctor there. She said that if I decided to move up there, to bring my ID and my medical records and she would be able to give me a prescription card.
Did you know that THE largest PAC (political action committee) in the US is the pharma industry? PACs btw, are those groups that give politicians money. Why would our politicians do what's right and fair when they are being paid not to?
