Alcohol costs more lives and medical costs and the only reason it is legal is it can be taxed. If the polititions were smart, they would legalize a very useful weed that has been growing on its own and been used for many purposes thru-out the centuries, and put that "tax" money towards the real drugs that are killing people everyday. Use that tax money to support rehabilitation to those addicted to heroin and crack. Then put an end to the senseless killng in Mexico by cartels that have more power than the polititions.

Medical marijuana could make the state some money in taxes and jobs for those who would be licensed to grow and sell. Maybe it sounds nutty but I imagine you could make decent money being a licensed grower, I would do it.

As someone who has experimented extensively with both alcohol and marijuana, I can tell you that I am much, much more in control of myself with the latter. Not to even get into the medical benefits of marijuana, of which drugs are already on the market containing compounds derived from it (Marinol, anyone?). Just legalize it already, it could be a good source of revenue for the government as well as a good source of relaxation to the masses. Not to even get into the boost in food sales - better buy stock in Frito Lay!:D

We dont need a marijuana law. Right now it's tax free. It's a great product and a really great way of making money, so no - we dont need the government involved. It would put a dent in my business.

It is very helpful with my back deterioration and extensive arthritis. I have had many operations, etc with no help. Why do I face doing something illegal if my health problems and pain can be bettered in no other way.

Some of the pot thay have today, gets you higher than smoking crack, I would prefer not to share the road with people who are smoking it. How can anyone enforce a law to prevent people who are way to stoned from driving. Granted, I already know, it is not as bad as driving drunk, or while texting. There are already to many people on our roads that are stoned out of there gourd,or who are not intellegent enough to properly operate a motor vehicle while sober. Just last week that Lady in Chittenango was killed by a guy who was texting and stoned. Texting is stupid, and envolves more distraction and time than talking on the phone. If these people are dumb enough to text while driving, why wouldn't they get stoned and go for a nice joy ride. It's not like u can give someone a breathelizer and figure out how muck t-h-c is pumping through there veins either,
