It is far less harmful than nearly any legal drug I have ever come across. It will not kill you, it will not make you violent, it has no known negative effects, and plenty of knowns positive effects.

Marijuana shouldn't be illegal. Arguments to the contrary are based on a century of misinformation. Marijuana does not cause the personality change that alcohol does.

E.g., there is apparently an impulse that some people have to drive when they're too drunk (although personally, I don't like ANY alcohol in my system when I'm driving). Conversely, I've driven hundreds of thousands of miles (like 30 years ago) with some smoke, and do not lose the capacity to regulate my intake -- such as some people do with alcohol, and do not have the impulse to "smoke until I've totally lost my faculties" (if such a thing is possible).

And smoking weed while driving certainly does not ensue the agressiveness that tobacco usage seems to cause in some people.

Indeed, I'm the most careful, defensive driver I know, whether I've been smoking (pot) or not. I'm the guy from New York City that proselytizes that tailgating is NEVER justified. And I'm proud to join the other 5% of State College, PA drivers that don't tailgate, although I'm distressed at our rare numbers.

I also believe that people shouldn't be allowed behind the wheel until they've had a couple of puffs, but first battles first.

If I want to have some pot in my life, then LEAVE me alone about it.
