I am an accomplished scholar with hundreds of thousands in the bank, I smoke marijuana from time to time and do not let it influence my decisions. Moderation is good in all aspects of life.

These are the same idiots saying "When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns" so we DO need marijuana legalized, at least with a prescription. No worse than some of the meds kids are now on (legally).

I am not an idiot or genius but the saying "When guns are outlawd, only outlaws will have guns. Think about same as illegal drugs, there is drug pushers and drug users still manage to buy them.

Drug test welfare recipients and those who receive unemployment. Deny them benefits if they fail use that money to recoup the test costs. I get drug tested at my job, so do most state workers why not others who get payed by the state?

There is not only the drug aspect to look at here. Hemp itself is quite valuable. It can be processed into fuel. There are many benefits beyond getting high. Also, statistically speaking, countries where drugs are legal have the lowest addiction rates and crime rates. The amount of money we spend on "the war on drugs' has not put one little decrease in the percentage of crime and addiction. Numbers don't lie.

I support the legalization of mj. It should be treated like any other tobacco. The US Gov. could tax it like the other products of tobacco and alcohol. Mexico would no longer be making money off of it from our country. The tax money made from the sale of the mj then should be used to build a wall to keep the drug cartels where they belong...in MEXICO with their cocaine, LSD and Heroin. Meth should carry a heavy sentence...well, it already does...death :(

Well, first of all I want to say that Spfld.MO is trying to re-start their NORML group this year. Check into it, and if you support legalization then you should attend and see what we can do to help. Also, there is going to be a rally of many many people in Washington DC in May. Whew would really love to go to that :)
MJ-legalize it - tax it -(you know they are going to do that)--sell seeds, leafs and tops --for sale only to 21 and above -- use the tax dollars to keep the Mexican drug cartel from infiltrating our country with the dangerous stuff...the man made chemicals.
MJ did not show up with us hippies :) It has been with us and used by humans since the beginning of time...thank God!
