Legalizing Marijuana will only lead to other drugs being legalized.
It is easier for young people to get illegal drugs than it is for them to get alcohol.

There's already enough unemployed, undereducated, and overweight individuals in this area without adding pot induced laziness and the munchies.

I saw a study that claimed dope smokers were less inclined to obesity. But this is just the ghost of threads past and not likely to result in any conversions one way or the other.

That's not what Snoop Dogg says. Or Paul McCartney, Willie Nelson, Bob Marley, Woody Harrelson, etc. Then again, none of them live in Cochise county. Maybe you are blaming the wrong thing for the lazy unemployed undereducated overweight folks you're thinking of.

Yep. That's Snoop Dogg is a REAL role model.

Seriously, Paul McCartney, Willie Nelson, Bob Marley and (gasp) Woody Harrelson are NOT role models or stellar individuals just because they are famous.
And being lucky enough to become famous does not mean they are someone to look up to in life.*eyeroll*

I'm just saying they are not lazy despite marijuana use. I don't think we have to look up to anyone. I also don't think we have to look down on anyone. The people I mention are older, younger, black, white, country, rock, reggae. The point is all kinds of people smoke pot. Too many of these anti-pot comments are cheap shots at stereotyping. If the guy next door is a lazy pot smoking bastard, chances are he is a lazy bastard by choice, pot or no. In a perfect world nobody would smoke pot but nobody would *eyeroll* either.

..thanks for your comments. If I have a lawn to mow or need someone to clean my toilets I'll bw sure to put the word our that no drug test will be required. I'm sure there will be plenty of applicants who think pot is wonderful and keeps you motivated!

As a pain killer I agree! But when I was there visiting I almost became ill watching a pipe passing around and all were chocking and the house was blue with smoke. And there was a huge amount growing.

You people are funny thinking that the legalization of "pot" would be such a bad thing you would be wrong their would be less murder trafficking distribution and sale over a somehow class 1 drug that has almost no harmful effects unlike heroin and meth other class 1 drugs. Also it has helped many people who have cancer with their pain and them not being able to eat and other medical benefits. How would this "drug" be more harmful than addictive pain pills muscle relaxers cough syrup or any other man made medication you people have in your house probably that your children have access to?

the are hundreds of families giving marijuana oil to their cancer-stricken children as I write this, with great success. Gateway drug? Try all-time miracle medical bullet.

WHAT ABOUT SUGAR! sugar kills too. Children consume that from the age of 1 or earlier. Then we have fat diabetic adults. It is addictive.

After being on hard core pain killers for years just to get through the day, and living in a fog, not being able to function or work, I moved to MM. Now I'm working daily, and the fog is lifted. Thank God for this. I am finally living a more normal life.

Never in the history of the world has anyone overdosed on pot. Put that opposite alcohol and OxyContin etc. Follow the $$$$, that's all that's necessary

No, I don't think this lady is stupid at all. Nobody wants their children ingesting stuff that impairs their judgment. When they are adults they can make up their own minds what to do. I believe the important thing is that they trust their parents to tell them the truth about marijuana as well as cigaretts, alcohol and prescription drugs, even coffee is a powerful drug and kids are now buying dreadful amounts of. Caffeine stimulant drugs at the Safeway check out counter, and they are overdosing all over the country on this insidious LEGAL poison. Addiction is a health problem, not a criminal one. big Pharma made one hundred billion dollars last year convincing lazy doctors and psychiatrists to practice medicine by turning them all into little more than drug pushers.

I'm 82, home supposedly dying of cancer, they will give me any drug I want and I want none of it. Maraijuana helps me sleep and I would use it even if werenot legal. in the morning a cup of coffee keeps me going for hours.

Just tell the little dears the whole truth about what the word "drugs" really means and if you don't you will (as millions of us are now) reap the consequences.

Has nothing but benefits. Make it legal, sell it, and tax it to pay for schools and roads. Alcohol and tobacco are far more dangerous and in reach of children today, Marijuana should not be illegal. We spend far too much money on keeping it illegal every year, rather then making a ton of tax money off of it and making the community better.

The bible says all herbs are good, and also states anything that bears seed is for consumption. Marihuana bears seeds and is an herb so our almighty god says it's ok and since I believe in god I believe in his word and his word says it's good and for consumption
