Alcohol has worse effects than marijuana. There is nothing wrong with getting a little high. You experience a half hour of being dazed and spaced out, comfortable and relaxed. With alcohol people can black out, die from drinking too much or kill someone while driving drunk. So why not legalize marijuana

legalization would harm fewer people and benefit countless others while taking profit incentive away from the criminal element

Let our tax money focus on violent and dangerous criminals instead of putting stoners in jail

Of course!! Legalizing weed will bring jobs for tax payers, less violence will occur, and children will stay away from the influuences of more harmful drugs if they bought it from stores instead of dealers. Everybody, smoker or not, is at a disadvantage if weed is illegal. Tickets cost the state and tax payers money to horder these uneducated, non tax payers in jail. Stop fighting a not needed issue. legalize it, everybody is ready except druug dealers!!

Government would make tons of cash $ from taxes. Better than alcohol and tobacco, by far.

It is ridiculous how much time and effort is put into the criminalization of marijuana; no to mention the people's whose lives are blemished for once was a misdemeanor crime. There is less criminality on the social level with marijuana than there is with alcohol ... we as a society should look at that.

So you think marijuana is better for you than alcohol if you want to get high? Now we are talking about inhaling the smoke into the lungs? And we are not talking about using alcohol too, as an alternative to weed when you can't get weed? And we're not talking about using any other drug like crack, meth, wet, dust, or snow, just smoke a little weed? And we are not saying that people who smoke weed never get behind the wheel of a vechicle and drive will being "dazed and spaced out"? And, of course, we are not saying that weed is ADDICTIVE in any form, are we? And we are not saying that dealers haven't killed each other over this innocent little old plant?

You have got to be the poster boy for gateway drugs to ADDICTION, or maybe involved in a little dealing? Huh?

There are no "diseases" that are cured by using marijuana. If there were it would be a "legal controlled substance". It does relieve some symptoms of a few illnesses, but so does morphine. You're not going to sell me the dead horse by telling me it still has some value.
