Marijuana is a gateway drug for more powerful drugs the destroy lives. This is a ploy to make money in total disregard for health and welfare cloaked in the name of "freedom".

During my adolescent years in high school, most kids started on cigarettes and/or alcohol (which both are legal) before moving to cannabis...so your logic is flawed. Cannabis "can" be a gateway to harder drugs, so can alcohol and cigarettes, saying that it "is", is ignorant.

Present marijuana laws are destructive. Laws criminalizing use of this relatively harmless weed have branded thousands of our fellow citizens for life,These harsh laws only help the prison/law enforcement industry. Present laws are completely ineffective in reducing marijuana use or availability. And they are contributing to the destabilization of the Mexico.

Why not? They say it is a gateway drug but in reality most people stick to weed. I see this everyday and it's not any worse than alcohol or cigarettes, which are legal by the way.

I am allergic to smoke. It's bad enough to have tobacco out there. The smell of marijuana makes me sick.

Medicinal value alone is reason enough. What I'd like to see regulated is how the cannibus is ingested. Smoking a J leaves more residue in the lungs that cigarettes. Cooking them in food or making a tea is much easier on the body...

It Is a "harmless medicine" that had been in the pharmacopoeia since 1850 said the 1937 AMA lobbyist to Congress in 1937.

It's less harmful than alcohol, and I find all is fair in the pursuit of happiness.

This is a far less dangerous substance than alcohol or tobacco, which are both legal. We need the revenue from taxing it.

If marijuana was made legal, our goverment would save so much money they spent on enforcing the sale of weed. they could rather invest that money on actual drugs that destroys people like herion or meth which are bigger problems in the US.
