Prohibition has become more harmful than the pot. Look what a mess the drug war has created on the Mexican border.

There is tremendous tax potential there, plus some regulation of what is now a black market industry.

I hear that mixed with some rubbing alcohol it's good for arthritis. It was used for medicinal purposes until people started abusing it. My grandparents used to trade with the Tarahumara for medicinal herbs and my grandmother used to place a rattlesnake rattle on her temple to relieve her migraines. Marijuana probably isn't as bad as some synthetic drugs that are prescribed to us. Unfortunately because people choose to abuse them, they are now considered illegal.

I don't think any mind impeding drug should be legal.

Read the first amendment of the constitution, then read the first page of the Bible. Gen. verse 29.

Prefer the term 'decriminalization'. There are a lot of people who are occasional users who end up doing hard time and a criminal record that are hard working, productive citizens, just as those who drink socially. Anything can be abused and those who do will continue to present the same cases to the courts. Just leave the rest alone!

Marijuana is safer than alcohol and cigarettes!! Ask yourself and others this question- Would you rather be in a room full of potheads or a room full of drunks? Case closed

Well that rules out 99% of all prescription drugs. Dont be fooled, Pot is natural; prescription drugs are the evil ones. Since we first left the trees we've have sought out mind altering substances. The first hominids ate rotten fruit for the alcohol and once they found Pot they ate that as well. Humans need a release, it is part of the human condition. That is why EVERY civilization cultivated mind altering herbs, mushrooms and made alcohol.

What would you rather put in your body something natural or a man made chemical? New research shows that behavior meds for kids now increase suicide rates. They advertise those DRUGS in parents magazines and TV. I'll take my own home grown medicine thank you.

It would reduce the existing crime rate. There are many arguments that it wouldn't but I have written many white papers on it and have a good logical case that the crime rate would go down just by the fact that the crime of selling grass would be off the books.( only one reason for the reduction)
Dopers steal? well if it is legal they do not have to steal as much..they are also lazy.

Keeping a pot head in jail at $30,000 per year is absolute insanity.

Smoked it for 30 yrs...supposed to take anti depressants but stuck to the herb and just fine. Govt should make lots of money from it to start on getting out of the hole. People are worried about loosing their medical cks when retiring...well legalization would help us out. Also, the war on drugs with Mexico...less supply and demand from the usa. I never wanted to move on to more serious drugs ever in my life. My herb is enough. 55 yrs old. Can't wait till nov 2nd to see what CA does. Their in the hole more than all the rest of the USA states...This is their chance and others to stop doing time and loosing out dr lic over something that does not cause a person to commit crime in the 1st place. No over dosing...no serious side effects...as tobacco and alcohol either.

Marijana is a medical herd used for things that the governent doesn't want you to use, when smoked it opens parts of your brain and your think more, it makes a good food seasoning, and is a beautiful plant just to have in your house, plus I think we shouldn't have to have other people tell us what we can and can't do

End the war on drugs. Many Vets and patients are able to manage pain with no major side-effects and marijuana never killed anybody!
