Marijuana was made illegal after the 1930's smear campaign. Marijuana was able to be used at paper as a quicker, and faster source. Big time politicians and business men had stocks in the paper and lumber business so they thought that if they had it made illegal, then the lumber and paper business would boom. They pulled the racism card by saying Mexicans and Black Jazz artists used it. When people were high, they became this insane, crazed, psycho-maniac killer and a child rapist, that one joint was the equivalent to 8 cigarettes, and that it's a gateway drug.
In America, this country could lower the incarceration, prison rates by nearly a quarter. If the government put a tax on it, some people would stop using it, decreasing the drug use statistics, and use that tax to help our dwindling economy. Little does our ignorant government know, marijuana actually stops the spread of cancerous cells in the body, hence why there is medical cannabis.
Alcohol, and cigarettes combined are a much worse two for the body as compared to weed. Alcohol completely shuts down your sense of being, and practically makes you a blithering idiot when heavily intoxicated. Cigarettes have people up for risk of lung cancer and cancer around them from the second hand smoke.
In July of 2002, 406,209 people all across the country died of tobacco. 116,000 people died of Alcohol,106,000 died of PharmCo, 19,102 of other illegal objects, and 0 died of marijuana. A study in 2009 by U.S. Department of Health and Human Studies published that 69.7 million Americans are current users of tobacco products, 15 million Americans abuse alcohol, and only 4.2 million Americans abuse Marijuana.
Everyday 1,000 people die from smoking related illnesses, 550 die from alcohol related accidents and diseases, and less than 20 die of drug related causes.
You tell me. Would you rather have your child a chronic chain smoker, an abusive alcoholic, or a pothead? If I had to choose, I choose my child to be a pothead.
Weed is not a drug.

Yes I feel it should be made Legal, Medical & Recreational. It should also be Decriminalized, More people in jail for marijuana witch is safer than liquor period. Rapist get less time then a simple possession charge. Like what the fuck is that all about there ruining that persons life forever.

I support legalization wholeheartedly, but the idea that MJ smoke is somehow magically less harmful than cigarette smoke is pure rationalization. That bit of self delusion won't help you when you're having a lung resected.
it is less dangerous, but only because the tobacco companies add a lot of chemicals to the tobacco in cigarettes. THOSE are more harmful than anything.
