It's a non-addictive relaxant. Why is it illegal while alcohol (addictive as hell) is legal?

It's Safer than Alcohol. There are plenty of Medical Use's for marijuana. And I have been Smoking it since I was 12. and now I'm 55. I would say Legalize it and band Alcohol like they did During Prohibition!

From what I've read on topix all of the Unied States. The Majority of Americans have no beef with Marijuana. And set up against the cost to irradicate it. As well as investigate, charge and trie citizens for cultivation and/or possession, it has cost the taxpayer way way too much money. Legalization and Taxation is the only way to go with Marijuana. It is a win win situation. Also, Hemp is a marvelous product of use in everything we use in everyday life. America could reinvent an Industry that supported all walks of like for more than a century in this Nation. Hemp can be used to make paper, clothing, furniture and can even be used to make ethonal as Henry Ford proved in the 1920s.
We are letting a small number of people control this subject and it's time we stopped wasting our money of stupidity and started making Marijuana work for the Nations recovery.

Just legalize it allready. At least medicinal. This state is dead broke and tax payers don't need another stiff tax hike by anymeans. If they can do it in D.C. then they can do it here too.

It's bad enough the druggies get it illegally and do the damage and crimes they do already when they are high. Why make it more easily and readily available.

Because, Fred, when it's legal it will no longer be in the hands of - and profitable to - criminals. Al Capone made his fortune - among many others (can you say Kennedy?)- during and because of prohibition. Legalize it, regulate it, and it no longer exists as a cash cow for the counter-culture. Being high on pot doesn't make a person any more or less prone to committing crimes (other than the crimes of sale, procurement, or possession) than being drunk on alcohol does. Alcohol (while legal) is extremely addictive. Pot (while illegal) is not addictive. Wouldn't it make more sense to just legalize it than to squander billions of dollars on the utterly futile efforts to prevent its sale and distribution? It seems to me that our society could benefit a lot more from the tax revenues it would produce than from the money it spends in vain on trying to eliminate it.

Where is the proof that it is not addictive. Yeah, I have smoked it also . Or sure I use that old term "gate way drug " . It sure as hell is , especially for young users . I may agree if we were talking over 21 but there are sooooo.......many kids that are ten years old already expermenting with harder drugs . I have to say NO ! We don't have a big problem with ten year olds taking a shot of JD but we do with pot . Peace out but no way !

Tobacco and alcohol are worse for you than marijuana. This drug should be legal.

It should be legal. We are just wasting tax payer money on drug busts and supporting drug cartels.

Ppl, it grows by the grace of GOD, it was put here for us. If they legalize it, they control it. Alcohol is legal, but it's still illegal to have your own stil.
