Everyone needs to see this documentary:

This is a synopsis:

If you’ve ever wondered what British Columbia’s most profitable industries are you might be pretty surprised to find out that marijuana is one of them – raking in over $7 billion (Cananadian dollars) every year. There’s big money in cannabis and this documentary sets out to answer a few questions…

Like why is cannabis illegal in the first place? What health risks does cannabis really pose? And of course – does prohibition even work? What would happen if we were to tax the herb?

This is probably the best documentary of it’s kind out their relating to such issues and it really hammers home the point: cannabis can be used to make food, textiles, fuel, paper, medicine, it’s good for the environment and there’s never been a recorded death from anyone smoking it: so what the hell are we all missing?

In this documentary maker Adam Scorgie asks all of these questions and delves far into the world of Canada’s most socially acceptable illegal activity. Throughout the doco he unravels the mystery of this massive underground market explaining the finer points that allow such a huge, illegal industry to function. He interviews many experts including growers, cops, criminologists, clips, economists, psychologists, politicians, medicinal doctors and pop culture icons – getting a broad perspective on the business behind getting high.

Yeah, in fact noone has ever died from cannabis but 50K people a year in the U.S. die from alcohol related deaths and 400K+ a year in the U.S. die from tobacco related deaths and thousands die a year from aspirin and tylenol overdoses.

Go figure.

I just moved out here from Indiana, and while it is illegal there, it is not regularly enforced if you only have a small amount for personal use. I have terrible anxiety, and it was the only thing that ever helped me fully calm down. I have had several panic attacks since coming here, and cannot afford to poison my body with prescription anxiety medication.. I might move back just because of the marijuana.

I have lived in rapid city for a year now, and i miss smoking pot. I've smoked for 40 years. I can't wait to leave rapid city because you just can't get any pot in this town.
I'd love to be able to get some. I have heart disease and pot is the only thing that relieves my stress without harmful side effects.

LOL Funny how everyone is comparing marijuana to alcohol or cigarettes. Has anyone taken the time to read some of the side effects of Rx drugs. Pots has far fewer and less detrimental side effects than many "legal" drugs. Want an instant high take 2 OTC allergy pills with a shot of 100+ proof alcohol on an empty stomach!!
lol how high or what kind of high does this give you.... and i agree..

Alcohol abuse doesn't improve health and adding an another contaminate as (MJ) making this legal only increases addiction and brings on more health issues.

there is no addictive substances found in pot. But cigarettes and alcohol if made to make you want more. Prescription drugs are also addictive. Cigs, alcohol, and prescription drugs also kill you if done to much out to often. Not with pot. Nobody has ever nor ever will kill anybody no matter how much our how often they use it unless it was laced with something. The only bad side effects to pot smoking is memory loss munchies and sleepiness. Also for those who say put ruined your life.. Pot did not.. You did. It was your choice to smoke it nobody forced you. And the decisions made while stoned are your decisions not the pots. Its a plant not a drug. Legalize it!!!
