If the sea was weed, and I was a duck I would swim my way down and I'd smoke my way up
But the sea ain't weed and I am no duck so pass me the bong and shut the **** up

And it's awesome for various well publicized medical reasons. And the prisons don't need to be full of potheads because then there isn't any room for the real scum and villainy. It also tends to be much less harmful than alcohol.

Legalize it, tax it so the government can get their cut so they'll shut the **** up. Let farmers start growing it, they'd make a killing. Dudes would stop getting arrested for having a roach in their car. It would be great, I support it. In fact I think it's foolish not to do so.

I agree with you Pete. If it was legalized it would lose a lot of the appeal to sneaking around and doing it. It doesn't cause erratic behaviors like other "drugs" do...and we'd have more room for the worst of the worst. Tax it and be getting some of that profit. It'd be more lucrative than what they get from just arresting and fines. And it'd leave officers the more daunting tasks.

Pot is a gate way drug. Yes, there is alot worse things out there. It just makes it easier to try the other. And when your stoned you are more willing to do the harder stuff. So don't mess your life up. It's not worth it.

1) "Hypothetical" gateway drug. The gateway theory has never been proven.
And when your stoned you are more willing to do the harder stuff.
This is false.

Despite what some would have you believe, smoking pot will not automatically have you divorced, unemployed and living in the gutter. As with anything, moderation is key.

Pete, I once again have to agree with you. Millions of normal adults drink alcohol on a regular basis but are not alcoholics mortgaging their homes to buy cases of Jack.

I know plenty of responsible, intelligent adults that do smoke marijuana, and they still keep their priorities straight. As with anything recreational, moderation IS key...and some people just don't know how to do that. Just because those few can't control themselves, the ones that can shouldn't be punished.

With the financial situation in which we find ourselves, why wouldn't we decriminalize it and tax it just like cigarettes and alcohol??? Why let the pot dealers have untaxed income while the rest of us that earn our incomes legally pay for what they dont?

It is to easy to grow. The goverment knows they can't control it.I don't think it's as bad as drinking, but I know from experience what it can do.If you've raise children than you most likely know what I'm talking about.I had a family member that had brain cancer. He smoked it said it was the only thing that helped. The doctors gave him pills but he said they were not as good. Cases like that yes, I would vote to legalize it.

Stinky Pete, How many people do you know that do anything in moderation? WE live in a world that if it feels good do it.The only thing I ever did was smoke and I couldn't do that in moderation. I would try to cut back but that didn't work. I would be right back to 2-3 packs a day. Thank GOD I was able to quit them.

This is ridicules, Don't do it at work or go into work high. just like you would not go in drunk or drink at work.

I have a full time job and am a professional. I smoke and have smoked from the time I was 16 so you can take that judgmental approach and misconceptions about the drug and roll them up and smoke it.

Guess what? I have my own car, house and money. I did it all while coming home in the evenings and burning some bud AFTER WORK... its my 6 pack in the afternoon. plus I wont feel like crap the next day... NO HANGOVER!

As far as leading to other drugs... that is such a joke.
I have NEVER tried anything else nor have I wanted too.
From someone with nearly 20 years smoking pot. some of you have NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.

My older brother passed away because of alcoholism I know what that can do and have witnessed first hand. I say make alcohol illegal and legalize pot.

Yeah. I've never bought into the gateway drug nonsense either. That's just another excuse cooked up by namby-pampy therapists to make addicts feel better.

And also, if your a kid, like i was, thats accedent prone. You go to the hospital a lot and get pain killers pumped into you. Would that not be a gateway drug when you was in the hospital 6-7 times before 18, and didnt smoke and week till you was 18, and tobacco and alcohol was the precursers to smoking weed. So you cannot set there and say weed is the gateway drug, when doctors are prescribing "happy pills" to kids?

Take adderall for example. Its given to kids with ADHD. What is Adderall? Amphetamine Hydrochloride.

These Doctors are breeding dope heads with our children, when we ourselves could administer the medicine that God gave us to treat anything from PMS and a headache, to cancer with.

Psalms 104:14He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;

15And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.

Herb for service of man- you can make clothes, rope, medicine, fuel, and a great many other industrial uses out of it.

Food out the earth- Hemp seed oil is a very nutritious oil. It contains Omega 3,6, and 9 in the correct proportions.

Wine that maketh the heart glad- as we all know, alcohol is a depressant, but cannabis makes people laugh

Oil to make the face shine- THC is fat soluble, and wouldn't a smiling face, be a face that shines with a light?

Bread that strengthens the heart- isn't laughter good for the heart? also, its been proven that cannabis consumption is healthy for the heart. It might raise blood pressure, but its a vascular dilater, meaning the blood flows better. It also allows platelets to stop sticking to artery walls, when that artery is damaged. Which in turn leads to the less of a chance to have a heart attack.

NOW WHAT?!
