Show me where government has the authority to make a law that governs what a man (or woman) may do in their own home as long as the rights of others are not infringed (i.e. 2nd hand smoke, driving under the influence, etc...)

My daughter has smoked pot with her twice divorced husband for many years. Her son now recounts the tines where they would go to a bedroom and put a
towel at the bottom and leave the children in the other room while they smoked pot. Her son now has to
relive the unavailability of his mother while she did this. And she had two other boys she did this to as well. So do I think pot should be legalized? I think any parent caught smoking pot should have their child taken from them. Do you really think the kids don't know? Or are you so selfish about what YOU want that you don't give a hoot about the kids or what you are putting them thru? GROW UP! And be ashamed of yourself for the legacy of drugs you have left with your children! You don't deserve them!

but yet they can drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes in front of their kids, and that's acceptable...sounds a little hypocritical to me...

TO COMPARE CIGARETES TO AN ILLEGAL DRUG IS LUDICROUS! SOUNDS LIKE SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO JUSTIFY PARTAKING IN AN ILLEGAL DRUG AND RATIONALIZING IT BY SAYING ITS BETTER THAN BOOZE OR CIGARETTES. PLEASE!!!!!

the only people that are opposed to legalization are profiteers and old people-just because they don't know any better, they've been brainwashed by the government...pot will be legal within the next 10 years when they all die off....pot has been here for thousands of years, and this trillion dollar war against drugs has done nothing to make it go away-you have to be blind to see that! and who said i smoke pot? there ya go, making assumptions....just goes to show how close minded you really are!

Don't waste your time. It's quite apparent that are trying to make a point and support legalization but you have ignorant people that will always be close minded. It's what they have been programmed to believe, rather than investigate credible data on the subject. I agree that the war on drugs is a failure, but you have people that like to beat a dead horse rather than face the reality.

Based on research, marijuana works great as a pain reliever, without the dangerous side effects that come with prescription narcotic pain relievers.
