Look at scott Jackson and Mike Green, lots of rumors, and lots of running of the mouths over the years since the murder Scott Jackson open his mouth a few years back in jail that he did it and he knows the other person that did it as well, because he was facing alot of time then suposenly he told the cops that he new who did it to get less time maybe they should look into them too

Just to be clear that this was not my statement. I cut/pasted the previous comment I took from a recent response to a 2009 Post Standard article about this crime titled 'Mother of 1985 murder victim in Ovid pleas for state's help'

I personally know nothing of Wickham. Having lived in FL, I am aware of The Outlaws existence.

Following this is like watching a child poke a stick at several beehive's. The child lacks the knowledge of which hive may be occupied and cause a stir, nor thoughtful of consequence

Scout, I can't imagine watching a child poke bee hives. Why don't you tell that figurative child, which nest has the wasps.

Unless you are mindful of the consequences.

Peachy MacCheyene died in the car fire between Ovid and Lodi, I do not remember what year; you will not find it on the internet. It is just one more strange case called an accident in the Seneca County area in the 1980's. I dont' know who posted his name before but I do remember it sounding very strange to me.

A thinly veiled threat? No one would be poking hives if someone would do the right thing. Maybe poking hives will shake this case up, and one good bee will turn on the rest of the loser-bees. One can only hope. Obviously everyone involved is pretty comfortable with the status quo, getting on with their lives for 28.5 years...having children, birthdays, weddings. All while one SAD mother fights for the truth, spending her savings & losing sleep. 28 YEARS! I think you're on the wrong side here. Do you have children? When would you stop?

I didn't see it as a threat at all. Made perfect sense to me. You might feel different about the poking of hives if your name were mentioned in association to this crime. Its far too easy to head up a witch hunt with the anonymity of the internet on ones side.

That's right, I've never been associated with a heinous MURDER. Some people have all the luck.

Actually it could be any crime. Shoot me your name and I will find a topic on a crime forum and mention it repeatedly in connection with that crime without any proof of guilt what so ever. I will do so in complete anonymity of course. Lets try this-it will be fun. I'll send you the link to the forum and you can let us all know how you feel after reading it. Have any dead relatives? We can include them too. It will be cool, an experiment if you will. What say? You up for it?

Local boy,

You are justified, in what you are saying. No argument.

But I have a question.(This isn't meant to antagonize, or provoke a silly internet argument.)

Were any of the folks mentioned in this forum convicted of a crime? To the best of your knowledge?

If the fella that was allegedly dealing drugs, was either arrested or convicted of a drug crime - then this is public information.

Either way, I don't think people should be naming people....unless they really know something, and can back it up.

@Kristin
Sorry it took me a bit to respond, I had to go stir the pot. I get a little Mannix in the kitchen sometimes. LOL. As far as I know Outlaws do not 'officially' operate in NY per say. Although it doesn't mean that they don't do business with, or aren't friends/relatives of local folks.

The peachy story has my attention. Can anyone elaborate on it? That's a horrible, and rare way to die. But a fire is a good way to destroy evidence. If this happened after the murder we are discussing, or some other nefarious event...that's a big red flag to me. So if anyone can answer these questions:

Was it before or after the connell murder.

Did this happen just before or after another crime?

Was it his car?

Were there any explanations on why he couldn't get out? Was it an accident, or was it just parked on the road.

What was peachy like? Hard to imagine a guy named peachy being a bad guy.

I do not remember any details or time line when it happened. I think this happened before Kristin's murder. It just always bothered me for some reason.

Yes one was convicted of a serious crime as "Kristin" had stated. None of the others to the best of my knowledge ever have. Im sure there have been minor scrapes. There was a pissing match over a property line but that was just more ridiculous than serious.

It did happen before and is a huge stretch connecting this to that.

I agree it might be a stretch. But you have undoubtedly heard of 6 degrees of separation.

Like I referenced in the brinks robbery, somethings on the surface don't appear to be linked, but they are.

In a small community, it seems likely to me anyway, that the murder of this girl, is unlikely a "stand alone incident".
Though it is possible.

I believe that if "peachy" met his end in foul play, it is very likely that there is at least some connection between the perpetrators, and or other criminal behavior.

From the little I know if Hendrix, and Compton. It would seem we have no reason to have a connection. As Compton was (probably) an infant at the time, and Hendrix was 12.

But, anything that happened in let's say 83,84,85,86,87. Or during a surge in activitiy in the case, should be evaluated throughly.

Quite often solving one crime creates a domino effect.

seems like the issue here is that compton's murderer has openly bragged about this deed -committed over drug dispute and that the hendrix girl died after a high speed chase involving her boyfriend a known dealer.Com mon thread drugs and no arrests. Does squealing pay off
