Marijuana is not smoked with filters, unlike most cigarettes. Marijuana smoke contains nearly four times as much tar and 50 percent more carcinogens than tobacco. marijuana users are five times more likely to smoke cigarettes than non-users. Use of nicotine and marijuana together likely enhance the harmful effects of each used independently. Smoking anything is not a good thing.

The only difficult part of growing high quality grass is not getting caught. Cloning, establishing clones, planting, harvesting and curing take little expensive equipment but a bit of time. Unless of course you'd consider a couple fluorescent lights and a $35 mister expensive. Once it's in the ground you basically just wait to harvest. One person can easily grow a couple hundred pounds with little time and effort. Northern and Affy both do exceptionally well in the Midwest.

I agree, and think they should make it legal, cut their costs of making lawyers and cops more money. arrest real criminals.

According to a friend, if you put 'em in the ground and leave 'em alone and they all get pollinated and the crop is ruined. You have to tend the crop like a baby.
Proper lighting and ventilation for indoor growing is not cheap, it takes a lot of space and a lot of attention. It's not as simple as you make it sound.
Of course you've probably grown truckloads of fine as midwest bud.

It will mainly be grown by individuals that know what to do and they will sell it at the Farmer's market. Why don't we bust all the local farmer's stands and make sure the tax is being paid? If it's legal, it will be cheaper to buy it from a friend that grows it. Are they going to arrest a person legally growing it and then giving some to a friend?

The most common way for outdoor grows to get cross pollinated is by going to the plants often. Simply being close to or brushing against ditch weed then tending to the crop can ruin it. When the nuisance weed law was in effect it was much easier to prevent cross pollution. Thankfully most farmers do an excellent job of keeping weeds in check and corn fields offer great protection and terraces offer continued moisture. Tending to them does nothing to prevent pollination. The only reason is to water during a drought and right after first planting.$400 in lighting will produce a large indoor crop in an 8x10 space. A good air filtration system can easily be triple if odor is an issue otherwise a simple fan works great.

A two hour two man harvest fills a full size truckbed nearly as high as the cab after being strapped down. After curing and trimming this equals 18-23 five gallon buckets full with an average weight of 10#. All grown in between 100' of corn rows.

Largest single plant I have seen was as tall and wide as the hood of a full size 4x4 truck with a stalk 4" thick and buds bigger than a baseball bat. It had been tied down, watered and fertilized routinely.

I'd like to know why all the save the earth people don't seem to be concerned about all the pot being grown in our forests here in CA. The pot growers poison the water, they kill any animal they can either by shooting or poison, they pollute the streams, killing fish, kill native plants, your not safe camping or hiking. Where is the outrage?
dude what the hell r u talking about?? killing animals and poisoning the water? It sounds like Fox News has poisoned your brain

The anti-tobacco people always said that tobacco farmers switch to growing "alternative crops" but never did produce a bag of "alternative crop" seed. Pot is the only economically viable alternative that I can think of.

I nearly overdosed the first time I tried pot but I was hooked. It was no time before I was shooting it up.

Next time you shoot up marijuana you should try it while getting kicked in the nuts and pistol whipped in the face.....it's really intense.
