It's senseless not to when much more harmless things are considered legal.

Here in Calif. we need to legalize it just to use the tax money to clear our National Forests of all the mexican drug cartels camped out growing it. It would be nice to take a hike and not be worried about being shot.

I'd like to know why all the save the earth people don't seem to be concerned about all the pot being grown in our forests here in CA. The pot growers poison the water, they kill any animal they can either by shooting or poison, they pollute the streams, killing fish, kill native plants, your not safe camping or hiking. Where is the outrage?

Good way to raise tax revenue and free up resources to work on real crimes.

The medicine industry is opposed to every kind of natural healing that is available because they fear that people with get just as good or better results at a more attractive price. Marijuana mecdicinal for all types of ailments just as many other organic or wild herbs. It should be legal as it is in some other countries.

I really don't think the pharmacy industry really cares if pot is legalized, read some facts before u smoke it, it's not going to magically heal the world. It does help in some things. But very little. Research it, inhalling it in your lungs can't be such a great thing. It's mainly just for fun, nothing else.

I believe what you do on your on time is your on business as long as you arent hurting anyone and it doesnt become an addict more like something to calm you down like some people chose to drink which should be illegal cause how many people do you see killing other people when your high rather then being drunk.

i agree edwin, let it be what it is. Use it for pleasure, don't think it's a magical cure for all.

Marijuana is not addictive and certainly not dangerous, or a gateway drug. Science proves that cigarettes and alcohol are MUCH more dangerous, yet the government has no problem with those. Amazing how folks screaming for 'smaller government' refuse to help the government back off of this issue.

Every President has smoked it (in the last decade) and everyone below them in our country. Stop the hypocrisy now.

Technically, I support the end of prohibition, as the government doesn't have any right to make it illegal to begin with.
