Alcohol, Cigarettes, Marijuana, and prescription drugs are not the problems. The problems are those individuals who abuse these substances. In the long run, because of the abusers legalizing Marijuana could be more damaging to our economy than it already is. Why don't people get high on the holy spirit. It's harmless and can take you to a real higher place!!!!

I believe marijuana should be legalized for several reasons. Take, for example, that the cannibis sativa plant is a natural resource, a simple plant, how can you illegalize such a thing just because some people choose to use it. There are religions + other personal beliefs that use it, how can you illegalize it from a religion/personal belief? How can marijuana be legal in some states, and countries, but not all if it's being kept illegal because it is harmful in any way? Medical professionals back it for numerous medicinal purposes. I also believe that the government does not want to legalize marijuana because they make more money now with it being illegal thru arrests, the black market, crooked government officials, etc. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Tell me how much the USA's taxpayers have spent in the last 30 years on the war on drugs and I will tell you what we could have done with that money. Our infrastructure has decayed, our schools falling down, our economy dragging...we need a "kiss of life" to stimulate people growing things again. We need small farms at every home. Teach people how to grow food and feed themselves. People should be able to grow what they want and the government should protect us, not try and kill its citizens or imprison its citizens or poison its citizens with pesticides. Our government, by the people and for the people, should stand up for the people and their right to self preservation and self reliance and their right to commerce.

Eating too much and becoming obese is addictive too. We should send people to prison for life to stop the eating. Or we could all stop responding with extremes. Get your nose out of my freedom.

My choice is what I choose and IF I'm doing no harm then it shouldn't bother you.
You can make excuses and arguments either for or against, but if I am truly free then it will be my choice to make.

Legalization will greatly reduce illegal drug dealers and their activities and even be a resource of revenue for local government.

Consider that we make laws to make the world a better place for ourselves and in so doing we systematically give up freedom. If we want freedom then mabe we should consider that this and many other issues should be taught and handled in our living rooms and not by Uncle sam. The reallity is that most people in america are cowards who do not want to be responsibility of freedom. We all are responsible for our freedom. And yes sometimes freedom means recognizing the right of someone else to do or believe differently. If we as a nation choose to ignore this truth then we resign ourselves to slavery. Simply put.....the majority has spoken ......now let freedom ring or someday soon you may have to fight for your freedom in your own front yard.

I support the legalization of cannabis because I'm not a retard and I'm aware that the whole prohibition is based on lies, myths, and misguided propaganda.

In reality people are people and the behavior will never change. Fighting the human condition is equivalent to fighting yourself, you just get tired and you effect nothing.

The people are gonna get it anyways so why not make it legal. The government makes money off it either way. Another thing they wont be buying the fake stuff that ends up killing them.
