should not waste taxpayer resources on a product that is less dangerous than alcohol.

Having had cancer and not being able to tolerate the steroids I could have used the help. I have since been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, marijuana would have help with the pain. If it was watched Just like alcohol we would limite the violence and it would help in funding for each state through taxes. I understand for many this is horrible to even suggest legalizing marijuana, but I still believe it could be controlled better if it were legalized.

I'm a cancer survivor myself, as well as dealing with FIBRO. I lived in Alaska for a while and had a medical marijuana card. I wish Florida would pass it. Actually all 50 states should. I'd throw my granny pill box in the trash gladly!!!!!

Has there ever been such a clear and obvious answer to so many issues as MJ/hemp? The tax income to counter debt, the reduction of the life destroying jail sentences for possession/etc, the job creation that would come from the sudden MJ/hemp explosion, the relief of pain and anxiety of patients, the reduction on alcohol related incidents, the list goes on. It is a win, win, win for everyone. Please do the right thing and legalize!

It is a waste of money and resources to criminalize marijuana. It should be treated like alcohol.

I won a debate about this issue in college in 1968. Who would have thought that the Nixonite/Reaganite/Bushite cabal would have successfully fought off legalization this long, after all, aren't these the same jerks that believe in less government intrusion into our lives? Definition of Hypocrite? Politician! These creeps have been bought off by the prison industry and the alcohol/tobacco cartel. Actually, they know that the knuckle draggers that support them would dump them in a heartbeat if they voted to legalize. What meth head wants pot legal? Oops, there goes need for meth! I don't understand this...their chief spokesperson is a prescription drug addict who escaped prison only because the corrupt legal system under the Bushies thought that prison for drug CRIME was only for minorities and the poor. I've spent over 20 years in law enforcement and have seen first hand the destruction of lives for a "crime" that gets you a $100 ticket in some states and localities. Until we take the issue of what we do with our bodies out of the control of the politicians, this truly victimless "crime" will remain on the books. It'll take a miracle. Fah! Think I'll move to Amsterdam when I retire.

less people would be in trouble and debt paying probation for having marijuana and its not like crack where people do crazy things if pot was legal more people would use it instead of those drugs that make you crazy!

marijuana is not addicting
marijuana compared to the dangers of alcohol or cigarettes is less dangerous because it is not addicting,(habit forming) but not addicting, and it is nearly impossible to overdose on marijuana where as alcohol it is possible.cigarettes are addicting.why are more dangerous substances legal while less dangerous substances are illegal?

alcohol is addicting and a person who consumes too much at one time can die from alcohol poisoning, a person who smokes cigarettes gets addicted and it is very hard to quit. marijuana is not addicting and it is nearly impossible to overdose on it, why is it still illegal? it makes most people relax and enjoy life in harmony while the alcohol drinkers are fighting and cigarette smokers are breaking chairs wanting to go out side for a cigarette.most people arrested for marijuana charges are usually for being in possesion of it. how many people are arrested for violance associated with alcohol? the world would be more in harmony if everyone stopped for a minute and smelled the marijuana flowers.

Chronic pain is never ending pain that is 24/7. Should this option bring us some relief..it would be a wonderful option to having to deal with pain meds...and that winding, bumps in the road way to go ,often goes astray and does not provide any relief on along term basis...some pils last 45 minutes in your system...your comfortable for awhile...Then back to base one in pain.!
