I believe it should be treated as Alcohol, and Tobacco. Americans deserve to have a choice on this.

I support legalization of marijuana just as I support people being able to consume all other sorts of harmful substances, such as unhealthy fast food or soda. It comes down to the individual and their own personal decisions on these matters, which should not be dictated by the state, or by the "majority."

Its here anyway, might as well tax it and make the black market illegitimate.

It's much less harmful than alcohol and the ONLY reasons it hasn't been legalized are:

1. Politicians and big business can't figure out how to tax us on something we could grow in our back yards.
2. Our government has allowed one of the drug cartels for YEARS to run drugs into the USA in exchange for information on the other cartels.

I agree..make it legal. The only reason it wasn't re-legalized when booze was was the politicians and big business couldn't and can't figure out how to tax something someone could grow in their back yards.

Further, our government has for YEARS let the Sinaloa drug cartel from mexihole run drugs into our nation unfettered in exchange for information on the other cartels.

Wachovia Bank also laundered drug money...BIG money...and Obama let the statute of limitations expire and then they were bought out by Wells Fargo.

Legalize this harmless plant already and quit with the "holier than thou" routine.

Agree with everyone here. Legalize it. Marijuana is supposed to be decriminalzed in Ohio, and yet we recently had a case in Strongsville (I think) were a man in his 60s was arrested and jailed for growing two plants in his backyard to help his wife deal with chemo treatments due to breast cancer. It is supposedly a ticket it you are caught with An ounce to less. But this poor guy did at least 30 days,it not longer. This couple were growing a small amount, and they were ratted you by a busybody neighbor woman who obviously needed some drama in her boring life. Legalization is way past due.
