If alcohol and tobacco are legal, then marijuana should be legal. It carries many benefits that neither of the other two substances offer.

Senate Bill 875 is dead. Never got a hearing because Oklahoman's are afraid to call their Legislators!

No one is suggesting it's any kind of "magical elixer" How do You think that people have possibly managed to get it passed for legalization for medical use in 14 States and D.C.? By showing that it can treat as effectively as prescription medications without the long and short term side effects of pharmaceuticals. Wall Street Reform? Freudian? Sounds to Me as if You are one of those "stunningly stupid hippys" You keep mentioning. Creationism and reality? That is getting You where for legalization??
Senate Bill 875, an act to establish a legislative task force to study and make recommendations regarding the medical use of marijuana, has been introduced in the Oklahoma legislature and referred to the Senate Health and Human Resources Committee. http://okmedicalmarijuana.org/ Are You trying insinuating that the basis for medical marijuana is a joke?
Just exactly what is it Richard that You possibly bring to the table other than "creationism and reality"
Freudian... lmfao~~ "myself" can be capitalized or no.. there is no given rule that I'm aware of on that one. For You to nitpick as You are doing and spouting off about how others are "stunningly stupid" when the only thing that You have managed to say about legaliztion leaves cause to hold the belief that You should have lain off the hallucinogenics back in the day.

Physicians in Oklahoma are prescribing Oxycontin, Lortab and other narcotics at an all time high. The use of Medical Marijuana will help many of those patients addicted to prescription medications. Medical Marijuana could be taxed and sold at liquor stores to those over 21 and Oklahoma could collect the taxes from each sell while helping those who need Medical Marijuana.

First off, I have yet to see doctors prescribe people abnormal amounts of drugs in Oklahoma. Hell, I had trouble getting my klonopin prescription that have been on for FIVE years when I moved here. They said due to abuse, they don't like to prescribe that or xanax, valium, strong pain pills. I wouldn't even take the pills if I could smoke a few hits of weed legally a day. I think thats the MAIN reason it stays illegal, lawmakers get paid big dollars to keep it that way. I have lived in OK for two years now, have yet to meet a person that can get marijuana out here in the western part of the state. They are QUICK to try and sell you some nasty ass meth though. Truly a screwed up state and I, like alot of people I know, can't wait to move to a normal state again.

Weed has always helped me with my insomnia more than the pills they would give me. I feel dirty smoking the weed though because its so frowned upon. They should make a weed pill. There we go, problem solved. Pharmacies make their money and I get some restful sleep!

Marijuana laws ruin peoples lives if they are caught with a substance that doesnt need any chemical processing. Our brains have a natural thc receptor and no receptors in the life support area of the brain = no deaths
No deaths from pot unlike drinking which kills you and other innocent people around you.

It is time to end the government scare tactics and propaganda. Marijuana is less harmful than alcohol or most prescription drugs. It make no since to keep it criminalized.

With proper regulations (similar to alcohol regulations), Marijuana can be a safe, fun and beneficial plant.

I don't have cancer, insomnia, or psychological issues. Alcohol sucks and gives me hang overs if I drink it. I just want to get high and be left alone. There's not one valid argument against it. I work and my family is well fed, well adjusted, and happy. I've never been on food stamps or collected one dime of unemployment. All of you uptight buttholes can suck it.
