Nothing good comes from running from your problems. Nothing good comes from smoking. Legalize it and you increase the number of addicts, that simple.
But you can't get addicted to pot. Your argument is invalid.

As long as you don't smoke and drive, I've got no problem.

I say full legalization. Package it. Tax the crap out of it. Pull us out of this recession, reduce our prison population. It's not gonna make anyone want to smoke it more. The people who already smoke it will just pay taxes on it and not go to jail. It's a win situation for everyone

For those saying it leads to worse things toblegalize weed. There are mountains of evidence showing it lowers crime. The gateway drug is alcohol and tobacco. If drunks are acceptable. Then stoners are a delight. And some of us need it medically because the legalised drugs pushed by pharmaceutical companies (the largest dealers in the world) stop working or dont work for some people where marijuana does and allows quallity of life. Is that something the sick dont have a right to? No marijuana then no alcohol or tobacco too. Otherwise you are a hypocrit right out the gate.

I live n new Bern I'm 22 n I smoke weed n I feel that if it was legalized crime would go down a big deal but liq n cigs are good for killing people but yet it's legal n weed can be used to help people n the government can tax it that would stop drug dealers

Has nothing but a positive impact on our economy and is the best way to treat certain ailments in a natural way, if only the pharmaceutical companies would use their money to research something beneficial to the world.

Why not? What is the BIG difference between alcohol and marijuana? That's right...one is legal and the other illegal. Also, I think it says a lot about marijuana. It is the only "illegal drug" up for discussion on whether it should be legal or not. Just with any change, there will be some downfalls. Many people probably would not consume alcohol if they could smoke marijuana freely, you know, in the same fashion as alcohol is consumed.
