It does not hurt anyone. No one gets high and becomes violent, like with alcohol.

Tax it and regulate it like alcohol. Prohibition doesn't work. Its alot better than 80% of prescription drugs out there now.

Feels good man. And it's a better alternative than alcohol.

Absolutely! The so-called "war on drugs" has been a disastrous failure. It's exactly the same kind of counterproductive nonsense as we had with Prohibition in the 1920s. They're called the "Roaring '20s" thanks in no small part to the number of roaring guns.

Legalizing (and of course, regulating) drugs would put drug gangs out of business not eventually but IMMEDIATELY.

Alcohol is 1000 times more dangerous, addictive and damaging to innocent non-users and is legal. Meanwhile pot is non-addictive and makes users passive and non-aggressive. Our government makes too much money on the war on "drugs". Think of all the useless investigators that would be out of job!!

Marijuana is a harmless and safe drug. It is used for many purposes. From depression to easement of pain. My best friends mom had cancer and after kimo, she couldn't eat or hold anything down because of the radiation. She finally tried marijuana, after being convinced by her husband and son. Even though she was a strong avicate against it. The first time she tried it, she was eating 20 mins later. She said later, she wished she had tried it along time ago. She used it for about 6 more months. Before her passing, she let us know how marijuana, was helping her eating and helped ease her constant pain from cancer. This shows how important this medicine is!!!!!! You don't here about anybody getting high and driving to rob a bank. No they do it, they usually stay home, relax, and giggle for the rest of the night. I do believe, you shouild have to be 21 to consume, just like alcohol, but it should be legalized, even if it is just for medical purposes. There are to many people that are in jail for non felony posession of marijuana and that's so wrong. When there's people out there who molest children or murder and there out on probation before a person who got caught with a bag is. whats up with that!!!!!!!!

Marijuana legalization could generate lots of tax dollars to support local government. Millions of dollars spent in enforcing laws that prohibit the use of marijuana could be used instead to fight violent crime and other real issues. Patients needing relief from a wide range of medical conditions (cancer, glaucoma, depression, and so many others)could legally use marijuana instead of prescription drugs that often come with many undesired effects. Local farmers could support their families with money generated from growing marijuana. There would be so many benefits...

I believe that when compared to other drugs marijuana is no where near or remotely dangerous. You can't overdose n it you just go to sleep. Its addictveness is arguable at best. Also it's a matter of freedom and responsibility. If I choose to smoke marijuana as an adult I should not be told I can't by a nanny government. At the very least if not legalized completely marijuana should be decriminalized so that stress on the overpopulated jails and prisons could be relieved making room for actual violent criminals.

I can't comprehend it not being legal for medical reasons. For people in chronic pain, it changes your perspective and attitude towards pain making it more tolerable. It stimulates appetite, calms nerves and eases stomach problems all of which are problems with chronic pain. And then it's been proven to help cancer patients particularly the side effects of chemotherapy.
