I have no problem with adults using marijuana if they so choose, but the problem is that it is yet another hurdle for the next generation. It is tough enough out there as it is without adding another drug that is easily accessible.

I know some will say that MJ is easily accessible now, but unless you run in certain circles it is not easy to come by. As a kid I saw very little of it. If it was legal, it would be much easier to get ahold of for kids.

So I'm a no on legalization for now.

marihuana can help get people off the welfare system, if they start drug testing people that are drawing welfare, living in government housing, food stamps etc... and test them like they do C.D.L. drivers random, and then give them the alternative keep smoking there sacred herb and follow the rules or lose there welfare, just think of all the things people will start thinking of to make money maybe new inventions and technology, people would be lining up to do all kinds of work so they could afford to smoke there sacred herbs that the dear lord above has provided them, because smoking the herb is more important than welfare.

I believe in most cases it is less dangerous than alcohol. Most things in moderation are a good thing.

I have known and worked with several weed-heads over the last 50 years. Most of them couldn't care less about themselves or anyone else, and several have admitted it freely. What a waste.
There're a lot of "pot heads" who use pot as a crutch. Pot is a "don't give a hoot" drug in a lot of cases. But those who use it every now and then I don't consider "pot heads" just occasional users whom I support. Many things in moderation can be a good thing. Anything in excess is a bad thing.

I have to say being military vet with pdsd it has change my life. Able now to sleep better at night with my wife able to stay in the same bed. I choose this route, do to fact of more people die due to sleeping pills each year. Reading the comments I would ask the writers and readers to understand it helps people who need it. Like anything in life, abuse of anything can led to further problems. Marijuana has been a life changing item for me a my family. I thank you all support...

For the people who smoke it already, making it legal will simply shift the money they spend to taxable sources. It is much less damaging than alcohol or cigarette smoke and there has never been a death for a person smoking too much marijuana. The same cannot be said of alcohol or ciggarets.
