Take it out of the hands of criminals and regulate. If not our children will be the ones to see the same failure that The "war on drugs" that has been seen since Reagan administration.

You will support Legalizing marijuana in muskegon, mind altering drug is exactly what it is, Sugar coating it to try to make it out to be good, causes me to question you're logic skills. Therefore legalizing marijuana will hinder and cripple the already poverty stricken muskegon areas.Support organizations that have a positive impact on our youth, you don't support something that hinders future generations.

Support Marijuana causes me to question your logic skills, As well as you're credability,Do not sugar coat a mind altering drug. Support muskegons poverty stricken areas, support already drug addicted mothers and fathers, who are raising children in poverty. Why would you support this in muskegon area? open your eyes the truth is staring back at you in muskegon heights, selling drugs on the street corners, children hungry,no jobs, wake up. If you are going to stand up for something make sure it's something that will have a positive impact in our community.

it will take the violence out of the trade, and lessen negative impacts through law, the 2 primary negative impacts on users directly caused by its illegal status

to anyone claiming legalization will hurt their children:

alcohol and cigarettes are legal

food is GROSSLY abused in popular culture

sex is available to ANYONE who wants it

it is up to each individual whether they want to test the waters with any behavior that has a potential to become obsessive, be it drugs, alcohol, food, or self mutilation, the potential is always there

that said, the primary negative impacts of marijuana use is violence connected with its illicit trade and underground money value DIRECTLY connected with its illegal status, and the social ramifications of legal consequences that are unjustified and ten fold more destructive over the ramifications of its general use, to the community and the individual(taxpayer money, socially handicapping folks from jobs and general existence in society)

those wanting to perpetuate its illegal status are self centered and ignorant and do not want to even consider that they could just be trying to force their own ideals, whether justified or not, on other people to feed their own ego

they are the true criminals, commiting offenses against their fellow citizen for their own self rightousness

SHAME!
(pardon the grammer...)

The people voted for medical marijuana because of the benefits to patients. Many of those voters also feel that the government should stop targeting medical patients and caregivers with investigations and raids that are wasting tax dollars. It would be a huge disapointment for the government to strip medical patients and caregivers of the right to grow/dispense marihuana.Michigans economy has been one of the worst in the country for many years now. Allowing growers and patients to grow and dispense marijuana would provide income for many of the unemployed workers in the state o Michigan. The focuss of the government should be to make those jobs available to the michiganders seeking employment within the medical comunity, and figuring out a way to tax the produce. The only meical patients that should be arrested should the ones that brake the guidelines clearly stated in the laws overwellmingly passed by the voe in 2008.

its a harmless plant that reduces stress and anxiety. Its illegal only because of the way the country is educated on the plant. people are beint taught that they will use harder drugs if the use marijuana the fact is that kids nowadays are using a wider variety of drugs due to not being taught properly on them.

The government is infringing on too many people's rights. It has been proven time and time again that marijuana is nothing what the government has made it out to be. You're not going to see domestic violence and drunk drivers like you see with alcohol. The only thing marijuana will do to you is give you an appetite and enjoy some TV.

My husband has cancer and suffers from severe nausea. He has lost 50 pounds since beginning of treatment. This is the only thing that has stimulated his appetite and helped with his nausea. I can't believe some people would be ignorant to the fact that natural is better than chemical solutions. Let the suffer through this life altering disease and see if they change their minds about which treatment works best.

Joe, oh nice argument huh? basically unless everyone agrees with you and your closed minded opinion, you question their logic? you are closed minded and have no credible statements except poverty and children? oh puhleeze. your views are illogical and outdated and hold no merit. I've lived in medical marijuana states and have seen the people who receive benefit and relief from major car accidents to cancer. the legal dispensaries actually reduce crime that would otherwise be worse on the streets with the unregulated dealers. I hope that you don't have family who are on synthetic pharmacy drugs they have to take each day. That garbage causes more side effects and failing organs to which the doctors respond by giving yet more medications to circumvent the illness being CAUSED BY THE SYNTHETIC PHARMACY DRUGS. how about the relief the people with parkinsons disease get? why dont you take a nice vacation to Colorado and see that you dont have a single intelligent argument on this topic. stop being so closed minded. I wish you great health in your old age....
