who said you have to smoke it? I'll take something natural over something that is man made any day. Pharmaceuticals are what is ruining this country. Not to mention killing people and turning them into heroin addicts. I'll take my chances with marijuana, non toxic has never killed anyone.

First, a Forbidden fruit is sweet, using policies to prohibit it made it even more popular among all age groups. So we should skip the style of regulations which proven to be an irrelvant "solution" if you see it as a problem. Illegibility harmed more people in the U.S during the process of buying weed, and in some states is more dangerous than smoking it.
And despite of this and that, weed is still available in every state and in every community and within every race. Add to this the increasing number of users in the U.S over the past decades due the influence of movie industry which is heavily advertising for weed in holywood movies, and when you market for some product and prohibit it at the same time guess what will happen, Prices will be high due to the high demand and the illgality of the supply, but still the illegalization is the main cause of increase in users, so the either prohibit it and stop the movie industy to market for it, or they should legalize it while allowing producers to advertise for weed in their movies.
This all reminds me of the history of Alcohol in the 1930's "Available everywhere, advertised for, but illegal", unlike Alcohol, marijuana has no influence toward violence after smoking it, in fact, the influence of marijuana is completely the opposite of violence, a marijuana user under the influence is a complete "coward". Another interesting fact: CHANCES OF BECOMING A VICTIM in Amsterdam compared to the CHANCES OF BECOMING A VICTIM IN Washington D.C
IN Amesterdam: 1 in 396
While in D.C: 1 in 75
I completely support legalizing it to benefit to the user or "The customer" which quality controlling weed to reduce the number of fake or low quality weed products that usually cause high risks of serious illness due to smoking the garbage kinds quality or other mixed rubbish kinds of weed, so by quality control the only supply that will be offered is best FDA approved and the governement can also regulate the flow of supply. Besides, the the crime rate will decrease if there is a safe methods of buying and selling networks which will drop the crime index in "Washington D.C" for instance
Add to all of the above, the usual benefit for the government whenever a depression hits, which is it to taxation.
And wither it is legalized or not, keep in mind this Fact: Marijuana use rates in the Netherlands are similar to those in the U.S. despite very different policies.
Which is the affect of the forbidden fruit.

What does it matter if its legal or not. I know people that have been smoking for 30 yrs and have never been caught. Just smoke at home and you will never have any trouble. If you go out just take one j with you only.
