I can't believe what I am reading! You need pot that bad... grow it yourself! You want it, you take the risks. By legalizing it, especially in a beautiful small town like my Mount Airy, gives off the notion that it is acceptable or endorsed by society. The money and tax issue is horse crap. You cannot use money as reason to change laws that diminish morality or behavior. Can't believe there are so many in this town that are ok with this idea.
Get lost you sadistic disconnected prohibitionist thug. The dominos are falling and legalization is coming to a state near you. Go ahead and cry your heart out.

Where is the research to prove or disprove the theory? Without reputable sources to cross reference I'm going to continue to believe that the hype is false propaganda that is being put out there by the pharmaceutical companies because they can't make money off the plant due to the fact that anyone would be able to grow it if it were legalized. I'd be curious to see who is fighting the legalization of it the hardest. That fact in itself would be more telling than anything else in my opinion.
**** agree 100%, and have done my homework... through my work! It is The Pharma who loses..and from there...our government. Now why do you suppose they outlaw a simple and practical idea on how to improve certain health maladies to control pain and other bodily issues?? The Indians were healthy people who ate off the land, used the land for medicinal reasons and by using various "herbs" grown in their own gardens for use in their " peace" pipes, found much needed relief, and safety through herbal medicine...in the end, PEACE of mind!! It was the "fire water" consumed by them.. that ruined their livers toxin removal system from bodies and caused irreparable decline to their health. NOW,put that in your "vapor" pipe ..........and smoke it, you too, will feel better!

Dora Jacobs.......... you wrote "Why encourage drug use?"....
...I ask that of my Dr. also in regards to harmful new drugs coming out with more side effects than you can shake a stick at!!...When simple herbal medicine handles pain better, can be grown at home or purchased through correct means.. than a schedule II drug can (and is just as" illegal" in the world of "drugs") with less side effects and immediate relief vs waiting for an hr....
.that's why the crowd turns to more natural remedies, and a lesser cost,.........unless they are forced into jail by hungry doughnut eaters with nothing better to do!!

Great savings for law enforcement not wasting it on plants, Plus didn't work for alcohol.

I'll ask you, do we need another drug like alcohol to bring down our society further?

Treat it the same as cigarettes and tax it. It actually has some medical benefits and if legal is no more a gateway drug than cigarettes and alcohol.
