I wish marijuana was legalized,
That it hasn't been yet I'm surprised,
When you take a hit,
There's health benefits,
And besides it's fun to get high!

the state of virginia spent some 89 million dollars a few years ago for the search, discovery and eradication of marijuana. JUST marijuana.
legaliazed and taxed, it would not only save that rediulous amount, it would generate that amount of more from tax revenue.
the likelyhood of even decriminalization is minimal as it is an easy charge to allow 6 months to a year of jail and/or probation for the offender. it is all about control.

I don't see what the big deal is. There are no health risks, besides a little irritation on your lungs. Cigarettes are worse because of all the added chemicals. There are MAJOR health benefits that truely work. The taxes on it would bring America out of debt, and help with the economy. It's the #1 cash crop, but people can't seem to get their heads out of their religious asses.

I'm sensing a theme here. Talk about hate. You've got a serious hard on about religion.(just Christianity, more than likely) We get it and you probably need to get past it. The problems in your life are not always caused by someone else.

I don't hate religion. None of them. But I don't deny that I dislike members of certain religions, especially when they use their religion to hate. Never did I say that the problems in my life were caused by anyone, I don't know where you're getting this. Maybe you're trying to be a psychiatrist, and really failing at it.

People that smoke marijuana stay home and watch tv and eat. People that drink want to get out and ride around and raise hell and likly have a traffic accident. Marijuana is the safer of the two.

Agree with the pain mgmt aspect. Much better for pain control, especially in terminal cases, and without the harmful side effects in pain meds.

Put a tax on it and lets burn down. When is the last time you heard of anyone OD ing on weed. Legalizing it would solve more problems than it could ever cause, plus generate jobs and might even pull us out of a recession. It is no worse than beer or a pack of smokes. Hell I don't even think you can get cancer from THC!
