Its something that everyone needs to learn more about and a lot of the myths need to be debunked and the real dangers arent as bad as some other legal drugs.

Marihuana Tax Act of 1937 should be looked at again and hopefully we as citizens should hold more hearing and hopefully with the help from
American Medical Association. This time this act will be overturned. Karl wanted a line that was it thank you Karl; God bless.

Another mind altering fix to promote bad behavior, inattention and dependence should be against the law but the crazies don't care-they''ll find it anyhow

Haha, looks like your still buying into the outdated 1930's government propaganda. You should really consider doing a little research and look into the facts.

I would like to make a comment here please, thank you. I think with the way things are driving by money that it may be best for this country to adapt a don't ask don't tell policy for drugs; this is where it is illegal, however do nothing to enforce it unless it presents a problem, see? In other words do as you please but if it causes you to break the law, it will be added to your sentence of crime, see? To me this would allow the respectful users to use and bust what I call the dumb a##es, that cannot handle drugs. An example of this is to know when to say enough is enough, to know how not to overdue something, ruin a good thing. Thanks for reading, God bless.

Way too many jails are full for this nonviolent crime, if marijuana was taxed we'd cut the deficit down ALOT!
Too many good medical uses for it-each persons use is their own personal reasons, migraines, panic attacks, ms, cancer, migraines, stress relief ect.... Drug is less addictive than tobacco. Less minor dealers. Woman who unjustly got their child/ren taken away for occasionally choosing to privately use marijuana as a mild stress reliever, instead of drinking a legal mind altering chemical and possibly becoming an alcoholic blacking out/passing out so can't attend to children, may be able to get child/ren back! It's nonviolent, no car accidents, no blackouts, are aware of yourself and surroundings, never heard of anyone doing anything they'd regret or forget while being high. Law enforcement can focus on the real drugs in this world corrupting and killing our youth! It will always be here people will always use it we can benefit by controlling it or waste more tax dollars trying to eliminate it. Why not legalize it? Why keep alcohol legal that kills every single day... Drunk drivers, being too intoxicated not knowing what your doing getting angry easy and hurting someone or drinking yourself to death?

Obviously you've never smoked it or if you have are easily influenced by ANYTHING and ANYONE. You know of anyone who's responsible and needed it? No? That's what you think I'm sure you'd be quite surprised what "crazies" you socialize with that use marijuana, their probably under the "mind altering drug" around you and you don't even know it! Another person who likes to blame everything else for bad behavior and you probably work at a bar promoting dependency and bad behavior but its legal so thats ok! Your probally someone who's on this Adderall bandwagon as well... Well it's legal! No I am not a marijuana smoker nor promote illegal activities, I'm an educated, open minded individual who can look at the big picture and know a lot of users for various reasons who's minds ARE NOT altered DO NOT have bad behavior nor are they dependent! Their behavior doesn't change a bit they are who they are, if there's bad behavior it's there before marijuana use, they are very attentive can focus quite easily! If people like you would quit blaming everything else for "bad behavior" and start making the individual accept responsibility for their actions they'll always have scapegoats and excuses and crazies like you justifying their bad behavior placing blame everywhere else but where it should go!

I would like to make another comment thanks. I think a don't ask don't tell policy about drugs may be the best policy for America.
1. It is still against the law so that if it does become an issue as a result of bad use, the law is reinforced.
2. It allows citizens to make the choice to be able to use it wisely.
3. It could save this country a lot of money fighting a losing battle.
4. This country can focus more on real problems such as schooling and such. Educate people about drugs not criminalize them.
5. The value of drugs will go down, so now no one will want to sell, because it is still illegal to sell and the more you get caught selling the more time that you do. Simply target large sellers only.
God bless.

Marijuana is NOT a dangerous drug. There are no overdoses in recorded history. Cigarettes and tobacco kill thousands of people every year, and we are allowed to consume them to our heart's content. Also hemp and marijuana can be used to make cloths, oil, rope, rubber, plastic, medicine and paper! not to mention countless other products. The paper that hemp produces is an overall better product and hemp grows much more quickly than trees. Legalizing this plant could bring deforestation down to a much more manageable level. The constitution, declaration of independence and bill of rights were all written on hemp paper. The medicine that these plants produce is also much better for you. Pharmaceutical companies release hundreds of unsafe drugs every year that people die from. Marijuana is a fun safe drug that responsible adults should be allowed to consume. Our body also contains an endocannabinoid system with the root word being cannabis or marijuana. Our body naturally produces cannabinoids as part of an elaborate system in our bodies and marijuana can help play crucial part in this system. The endocannabinoid system has been ignored for years under this marijuana prohibition and it is time for us to rediscover it. I am completely in favor of legalizing marijuana and hemp because I genuinely believe that it will change our society for the better.
