They are growing pots just at my backyard and we are less than a mile a way from a school, and police or sheriffs are not doing anything about it. i bet too that these kids who are at schools knows about it too. Maybe some of the parents are involve in the business you know what I mean......???. And this fellow who grows it together with his cohorts get a license because of some bogus illness. In fact he is allowed to have a pot for a certain quantity only but by the looks of it , his making profit from it by growing and selling, how can he get away with it???? They are even having pot sessions in there with there kids as young as 2 years old, what will become of those kids I wonder. Sheriffs and police in these area are turning there cheeks the other way, They should start making investigation and arrest these people

Both alcohol and pot, impaired both mental and physical faculties of a person, so what's the difference???? I say if you are impaired in either one , you are not a 100% functioning human being.

We're not talking about recerational... Try being in chronic pain for 13 yrs more often then not... Not being able to get outta bed without demobileizing pain. In the past 8 of that 13 yrs. I am now 34 and because of the pain I have tried all shorts of things I thought I would never do. So unless u think every 1 with chronic pain & chronic illness should just suffer. Then u have no empathy & should not be making choices for any one in that situation. We're talking about percriptions given by a Docter... NOT recreational drugs.

The title of the thread is "Do you support the legalization of marijuana?" Nowhere does it say anything about medical marijuana. However, I do support the legalization of medical marijuana as well as recreational and will one day at the polls vote to end this ridiculous barbaric prohibition of a non-lethal organic plant.

If the police are paid from state funds they should abide by state rules or face prosecution for breaking the law governed by the people for the people.

Let a free market decide cannabis roll in our free republic. Capitalism and individual freedom appeals to the intellect where as controlling socialist ideas appeal to emotion. At the end of the day Prohibition simply does not work.

After more than fifty years, it's time for it to be legalized. Let people grow their own stone.

How long has the "establishment" been researching the effects of marijuana? Fifty years, or more. What is their conclusion? "We need more research!!" They aren't finding the dangerous results they want. Everything leads to the conclusion that it is basically an innocuous weed with mild psychedelic effects. It's been proven to be safer than everything except breast milk; it is time for it to be completely legalized. People have a right to grow their own stone; let them do it.

I find myself in a real quandary over the entire issue of pot. On one hand I think it should be legalized as the legal ramifications are far out of proportion to the action for it to considered a crime. On the other hand, I'm not entirely impressed with the culture that has sprung up around pot use. I don't know if I'm seem to be familiar with a disproportionate number of deadbeat stoners or if this indeed the norm. Although I'm familiar with some working folk who after a hard day toke up, who pay their bills, aren't living their life on anyone's back-people I have absolutely no problem with-the majority of people I am familiar with are frankly leaches whose top priority in life is the next high and are willing to get it at other peoples' expense. Of the eight marijuana patients who tell me of the marvelous curative property of pot on what ails them and the evils of the pharmaceutical companies, every one of them are taking prescription drugs to address the problems they are supposedly curing through their pot use. They are also people who have been lifelong pot smokers have spent that lifetime on some kind of entitlement program or living with someone who does, have avoided employment. I realize what I express is anecdotal, but I really have no way of measuring how prevalent the "deadbeat culture" is and more to the point I don't know if they are pot whores because of their exploitive and entitlement attitudes or if they have they developed exploitive and entitlement attitudes because of their pot use, and I don't know how representative these kinds of people are in terms of the pot culture. If indeed the culture springing up around pot pot use leads to a new norm of generations of people with little initiative and ambition, obviously we will never survive it. Obviously countries such as the Netherlands have not fallen apart, but I also don't think they have been spoon-fed their right to self-indulgence and the importance of their self-gratification over any other consideration like American culture has, and so can't help but wonder what the wholesale introduction of pot use as a cultural norm with its associated culture that has been developing since the 60's is going to do to our society.

brians green thumb farm is now back open for business on Gregory in central point, I have been running an operation from jail with my friends in the area. my girlfriend is breaking up with me after all that, so I have a new network of junkies and crack heads that will be moving in and taking over. mr winters isn't as quite as smart as he thinks he is. He might have gotten me, but between my old friends and my karate teaching buddy, its all covered, the money they didn't find, the medicine they didn't find, lol. And now its starting back up. Im glad they don't check letters or phone calls from jail, lol. My Portland and washingtom buddies are helping out too. this is gonna be a great year!

It should be legal, its shouldn't be medical, OMMP abuse and black market has tarnished that. When it becomes rec, no more med grows, like WA is trying to do, no more caregivers or multiple patient growers for profit. Thea dispensarys will grow or contract out and eliminate the small growers who are selling left and right to any cardholder, not even ones connected by paperwork. You abuse the system, they change the system, you dont' make as much money off patients anymore. The best thing that could happen is they start growing hemp outdoors statewide, and throw that pollen everywhere, and then let the big outdoor black market genesis guys see if they can buy new houses on the backs of their patients. Did they really think it was never gonna get found out? HAHA! Come out to Brian's Greenthumb Farm, we are back in biz, we got narcotics along with pit bulls and mmj. So stop on out and meet my new crew getting things ready for me when I get out of the Pen.
