I think as long as it is in its natural form, it is no different that people that use ginger root. The states can tax it, just as they do tobacco. The same laws that apply to drinking can be applied to marijuana.

its an herb and it growswild in some states along the interstate, think about it, before humans discovered it and started smoking it. theres no chemicals in it like some of these other drugs out here on the street. how many people u know has died from smoking a joint? politicians need to look at at other issues that are more importent than legalizing a plant.

If its bad why do 14 states have it to treat certain health conditions and another 8 are considering it.. It has to do with the drug companies not liking competition aka loosing money.
Don't you know unless the drug companies market it which they cant due to just about every state that has medical pot you are allowed to grow a certan amount, like Oregon you can grow 24 plants at a time with a limit of 24 ounces of dried with a medical pot card.

Senseless to be illegal. Decriminalize and let the cops get along with things that matter.

Well whatever are you doing on topix then. You should be concentrating on something more worthy. Nobody can obsess with the war 24 hrs a day dude. Pot is not a major issue, its just a discussion. People do that from time to time.

Heck what wrong with a little pot once in a while. You can have men doing things like selling worser drugs and buying a nice vehicles to drive, nice double-wide moble homes ,ones who can shoot at police officers after trying to rob a bussiness only to go to jail for awhile ,them to prison and then brag about getting out very soon in just a short few months. Now theres is where our lovely tax dollars are going for.So they can start their bussiness over when they get out.

I'm all for it. Make it legal then taz the hell out of it! Pay to play. Enforce it just like alchol. if the government put a premium tax on marijuana all our taxes would go down. The revenue possibilities are endless and think about the jobs it would create! It only makes sesne to legalize it!

During the Great Depression alcohol was brought back for this fundememtal reason! It worked then why not now?

I think they should prescribe pot instead of nerve pills it's a lot safer and releases just as much stress

I agree with most! With all the drugs out there filled with chemicals and poisons why are they worried so much about pot! Its safer than any other drug and shouldnt even be considered a drug! Its even safer than alcohol! Ive never heard of anyone dying by smoking it! But it should have the same restrictions as alcohol! Its a freaking plant god put here for us to use! Its not man made like other drugs and alcohol! Legalize it and tax it! Maybe it can help u.s get out of some of the debt!

I have noticed after 14 years of comparison I wish I could go to my local Tobacco shop and purchase my bit of green, pay my sales tax and be on my way. After purchase treat it like alcohol; making it illegal to drive while under the influence. The green helps me more and with the use of a vaporizer leaves me with none of the side effects of the prescription medicines I have tried over the years. Have even had my Mother-In-Law tell me if it were legal she would love to try it to help combat her constant pain as opposed to prescription narcotics and other pain medications.
