1) Prohibition never works
2) Its a victimless crime
3) Its a violation of a person's rights to dictate what they do with their own body.
4) By making pot illegal, we've given a very lucrative market to criminals.
5) We have more important issues to tackle than pot smoking.
6) We can't afford to waste our scarce dollars on such a non-sense issue.

taxes would go a long way to recover losses. Just no need to have something so common illegal ..... get over it DEA and govt officials. They would be the ones losing if it were legal.

1. More Dangerous to Operate Equipment than alcohol; ie autos, forklifts, ladders
2. Narrows the bodys blood passageways and shrinks cells, slows response time as neurotransmitters of the brain are KILLED are do not repair themselves, causing Long Term unnatural brain function from the Normal Human Anatomy
3. Laws created to protect from hurting ourselves and others-there are victims to MJ
4. Rights of What to do with our bodies; Tattoos and Piercings should be illegal as the Ink is harmful and Infections are not Shared to the Public as the graphic and disturbing nature of bodys changes would 'scare too many'. Tylenol on the shelf is a pain reliever which alters the stomach lining and is safer than MJ, but some Sue in courts when they overuse or mix the product incorrectly with alcohol or other pharms.
5. Criminals will find a scam or market to work in the underground without traces. Buy any concert tickets or copied music lately?
6. Why enter cases to ammend Public Safety measures, as if someone is in possession and informs Judiciary of need for Pain Relief without venue to harm others, the measures "were created to be different", public wanted to change that and voted on NO EXCEPTIONS policys without knowledge of the facts. Should this be returned to previous consideration being the key or cheer on the Fun-seeking thrilljoys who Party to Forget and enjoy playing goofballs. Relaxation in other ways is possible yet they would have to work on it harder. Maybe Police Departments should spend more time in Training and Reteaching the Compliance Codes instead of Rhethoric through rumor-mills.
7. Tax structure would require complete ammendment to pharmaceuticals and water rights being good or bad as studies of brain function differences proven that MJ cannot be considered in the same classification as Multi-Vitamins and Mineral Sales. Would you choose to place it with toilet tissue as from trees, so that it could be taxed? Tissue would prevent disease and MJ slows down cells, therefore you could not.
8. Not in the same category as Medicine as it will not Cure anything!

Prohibition does not work. It gives criminals the money to buy guns.

It's a potentially massive source of tax dollars we could put towards important issues.

It doesn't have to be smoked to enjoy, therefore trumping cancer sticks, cigarettes.

All it ever does is make people relaxed or hungry. This could easily increase business for grocers and restaurateurs.

It's medicinal qualities have already been documented in California and elsewhere.

Other advanced and respected countries allow its use. It's only logical that we catch up.

People are using it and will continue to use it anyway.

People jailed over Marijuana are crowding our prisons and keeping potentially dangerous criminals out.

Investing in marijuana can promote growth in small communities.

Growing marijuana can promote gardening and farming techniques that teach basic, helpful practices that give one a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Marijuana can even the playing field of unemployment as well as stimulate the economy greatly. It will bring jobs BACK into the United States.

Growing marijuana legally could bring MASSIVE amounts of revenue back into the southern states.

As a 62 year old male that has suffered with severe depression for over 45 years,I can honestly state that only while I was under the influence of marijuana was I ever happy and at peace with myself. While my bouts with alcohol only brought more depression and madness. Please allow me freedom to consume marijuana in the privacy of my own home without the fear of arrest and incarceration. God can't answer my prayers but a benevolent government can.

It's a non addictive herb, and isn't dangerous or in any natural way lethal. Unlike that of Alchohol.

Nothing is wrong with marijuana. Unless of course it has a bad effect on you. In that case, don't deal with it =). It's a natural herb that is wonderful and it calms the soul. Legalize it, realize it, just don't criticize it.

It is a stupid law! Class 1 Drug like Heroin and Coke? No. There is no reason to cage 1,000,000 people of the US over something 80% of the world uses for medicine, hemp rope, clothing, fuel, housing material. focus on Real Crime.

I am a nurse , i think the benefits of marijuana far outweigh the negatives of it! Lets be real , how many people have you ever heard wrecking their cars while stoned? The wrong thing is legal(alcohol)...Proven fact people are more relaxed , and take lkess stupid chances while under influence of marijuana! Equals less road rage, and needed help for the terminally ill! Money for our government!!!

Hey smarty pants your brain is constantly making new cells everyday! Meth kills brain cells at a rate faster than the brain can make new ones. Have you researched the deaths of cigarettes and alcohol compared to marijuana? And our wonderful government says its ok to smoke and drink! Legalize it, tax it, and go after the junkies, meth heads, and crack heads. They are the ones who are robbing, stealing, and killing!!!

Marihuana is not as dangerous as alcohol... It should be legal and available for recriational use just as alcohol and tobaco.
