There is no reason for it to be illegal. There are far worse chemicals FDA approved to mummify the masses. Side effects do not include possible instant death, at least!

the war was lost.. govt can control it and taxes created will be a win for us. pick your evils gambling, alcohol, sex, smoking,,or even internet. Some ppl will have a problem with it and others won't ...you wont stop it !!! I'm a recovering pot smoker so I won't smoke it weather it's legal or not. But many are adversely affected by the legal stipulation its caused. Just guidelines need to be made, then outside those it's a penalty.

Recovering? Why did you word it like that? I'm not sure I have ever heard anyone say they are a recovering pot smoker before.

This drug is already used for the elderly and chemotherapy patients, just for those of u that are unaware. It's called Marinol. Yes, legal Maryjane to help increase their appetite. Don't think for one minute the government or the pharmaceutical companies are not getting their kick back. So, think about where the deficit would be if legalized for the right purposes? Not for fun either! I said RIGHT purposes.

Coming from a family member of someone who is a user. It does have side effects, it changes the chemical make-up of the brain, causing illogical thinking (but the user believes he/she is blessed with the greatest understanding), memory loss, don't care attitude, unethical behavior, laziness, etc. Anyone who thinks that it is harmless is probably a user. Good way for the a nation to be easily taken over - put 'em all on weed! Legalize it, then nobody will care what happens to this country. It however does have it's uses when used medically prescribed by a medical doctor and dispensed by a pharmacist, not medical Marijuana Dispensaries.
