Why not? It is safer than booze, and would be a great source of revenue. The State(s) and the Government can make the money. Not the drug cartels.. Noo brainer..

I live in constant pain due to an accident...I have been prescribed every narcotic in the book to help. These narcotics are habit forming and highly addictive, not to mention the damage they do to your liver and heart. I also suffer from lack of sleep due to the pain. Again more LEGAL highly addictive drugs... Marijuana Not only helps with the sleep but it helps tremendusly with the pain. I'm not telling you it completely stops the pain but, it does help and, I'm not at risk of addiction so I'll need methadone treatments to break a opiate addiction. If given the choice of taking a completely natural non addictive product or taking opiates...I choose the marijuana.

when i was growing up i smoked Marijuana.. as many others did and i know the affects it has. it dont make you kill people/jump off roofs thinking you can fly (lol) and as far as Marijuana leading to harder drugs that a choice that people make personaly i smoked almost daily and never went to other drugs and to this day i may have 1 or two beers a month . i was content with smokeing Marijuana and if it was leagle i might try it again not daily but on occation i have not smoked it for at least 25 years now. im 48 now and quit happy with life maybe because i smoked Marijuana ? the upside is their could be billions of tax dollars to be made and we all know the people that grew up in the 60-70 and early 80 will be voteing to support the legalization of Marijuana? sorry for rambling on

You have no idea what you are talking about. You only make yourself sound like an idiot when you comment on things for which you know NOTHING about. Now had you said Alcohol produces a decline in an individuals ability to hold down a job and be a productive member of society, I would have said Amen sister! But you didn't. So now I must say, " go back to your tea party you bible thumping, no fun for nobody, know it all old person!" You've never even met someone who smoked...or have you? So many people out there that I NEVER would have figured to be a "smoker" but in fact were. You probably don't even know what it looks like. Moron.

Been smoking since i was a child with cancer.I figured out on my own it would help me eat. When i would go to bed i would smell that smell in the air along with pizza, hear bags of chips,so i tried it and i got better from treatments and from smoking.Smoking helped reverse the effects of muscles that usually kept your food down. When you bend over to tie your shoes and get sick and didn't even feel sick it's bad.Smoking helped me have a hungry feeling, not a sick or weak feeling but a total hungry feeling.
