IF a huge if,the US government did the math, weed would be legal. If used as a smokable perscribed drug, that is taxed. I would rather see a person smoke a bowl for a sleep aid rather that take a ambion or other sleeping PILL. How about the oils made from herbs? They can be used in cooking, lubricants other food products. How about paper,bio-degradeable paper at that, clothing all of it taxed. From farmer to end user all taxed.'Arnold' in Cali raised the weed tax $50.00 a ounce, over a year ago. Did it slow down use? No it raised tax dollars. Next question, If I am a chronic pain pereson, and I am, what happins when I go to a New Jersey pain clinic in October and get my medicianl script for herb, then cross back to Cheltenham? I wait for that day,and you will all see me fight the charge ..to the Supreme Court!!! LEGALIZE IT!!!!...peace in the streets...

The smokable weeds, the oils, the cloths the bio-degradable products ie; coffee cups paper plates napkins and so on. Cars that use the oils for lub and engine oil the list goes on,all taxed!! Get twenty 18-21 year ols men,get a football have a oz of kind bud,no problems, right. Take samd guys add two cases of beer one fifth of Jack Daniles and you have a fight, right? Panthers and Galloping Ghosts can agree on this,right?...peace in the street..bring back Casey's Tavern!!!!!...

it's less harmful than anything thats legal, even aspirin.this whole "war on drugs"lie is just a scheme to make money.just like the alcohol prohibition made more criminals,so did the war on drugs.especially over a harmless plant given to us by God.IT IS OUR RIGHT to the pursuit of happiness,as long as it does no harm to others.we the people who enjoy one of God's gifts, have been demonized long enough.

If someone can name 5 negatives of marijuana, and why it should be illegal.

Compared to alcohol, tabacco. Hell you can overdose on children's tylonel. Marijuana u can not, it can not kill you. But something I can go to almost any corner store and by legally can. Something's wrong here, it's a plant you just happen to smoke it causes effects. Been testing for years nothings wrong with it.

In the history of Marijuana there have been NO deaths but yet cigarettes and alcohol which kill thousands each year are still being sold with no problem. How is that? That a plant that has no long term affects and is NOT addictive is STILL illegal. People that smoke Marijuana are still going to smoke it wether or not it is illegal. The people that don't smoke still wont so why should the people that DON'T smoke recreationally punish those who do? Think about it....

it does less harm than alcohol and more people are imprisoned for weed possession crowding the jails. Also, if legalized marijuana could be a huge cash crop not only for individuals, but (if allowed) also for the community by making community owned shops.

Some people disagree or whatever reason they use to get a hold of any illegal drug. I would think the drug enforcements such as local and state police are reading, researching and tracking those who give such details and ideas. Lets save our communities and work together to teach teenagers and adults a better work ethic . Work hard but do it honorably, legally and hard work never hurts.good luck

I would rather go after those child predators, violent drug dealers, murderers and deadbeat parents who ignore their children....
Lets get kids back to reading at the libraries, helping their neighbors and expect 14 year olds to get a 10 hour job instead of becoming angrier, more socially isolated, living only in a virtual video game world with no sense of learning to work through problems, wanting to get better educated so they get better jobs and "create" a better life for themselves. When did our kids get so lazy, so butter, so difficult to understand and many feel the world is against them and they stay under the radar. Some adults could be helping these teenagers break out of this angry mold and slowly re-engage in life to become productive people. Mariijuana does not make people a angry or mean but how do we explain this to kids who already fight the parents teeth n nail?

It's equivalent to alcohol in terms of enjoying a puff and less harmful than cigarettes
