It is now Gloriously LEGAL in 2 states now to everyone Hell to the Yeah! Now if Indiana would follow, I bet anything that the more harsh drug use will decrease dramatically.

never should have been illegal. It's a recreational drug an doesn't harm anyone and is not habit forming like all the others.
I have to challenge this post: You are wrong when you say it is not habit forming and I am speaking from experience. People get addicted to all kinds of things besides drugs, also. My brother is addicted to gambling.

Again for "namvet"

You say it doesn't harm anyone I beg to differ on that point, also. When you take yours or others' hard earned money to buy this stuff, it is. When you think what you could do with all the money you spend on it or when you get ripped off for it or put in jail for it then it is harmful. Did you know that you can pass out while smoking pot? I, once ran a stop sign across a busy intersection in a VW Beetle when I was younger and under the influence of smoking pot. God was with me that day is all I can say, because I didn't even realize what I had done until I had already done it. I could have been killed along with the young passenger that was in my car with me at the time!

Signed, Quit and more peaceful than any pot buzz I ever had, but always an ADDICT in my mind, no HYPOCRITE here

Reduce crime?? All this would do is support killing and other drug sales.
This is my fear, also; Just afraid that it will open up a gateway for other drugs as well. Look around and see how many lives have been affected by alcohol and drugs. I know alot of people who use both and they are never really happy and then they wonder why: Get a grip people then maybe you will figure out the source of your problems and misery!

Pot cures cancer that is why it is illegal.
Look if up for yourself. It has other healing properties too.

If pot cures cancer then please tell me how. I should be cured already.

Good post, now let's see if you can get an answer. I do know that medical marijuana is prescribed for cancer patients, because it helps them be able to tolerate eating due to the nausea caused by chemo and radiation treatments, but cures cancer....no, I haven't read or seen that proof anywhere!

I've seen people over indulge with pot just like any substance ad yes they can have a problem driving. and if you get caught with just a joint you dont go to prison . just fines. mainly prison is for if you are selling it. but i think if they ever legalize it they will need to be able to test you if you get pulled over and you be charged like any owi

it will definetly be taxed to death. they have just about killed the tobacco industry.but how would this affect liberty and taking back govt. it will have so many regulations wont that add to bigger govt? but as i have said in earlier post ,i have seen someone become addicted to it and will spend there last nickel to get it.i myself cant stand the smell of it so it will be another issue of second hand smoke .and what if kids are in the home ?

There will always be a segment of the population that wants to criminalize marijuana, but the fact reamins that It will also not go away.

I don't personally smoke anymore for personal reasons, but I know so many people that do, and no, it is not "pot heads", or lazy people, I'm talking Doctors, lawyers, law enforcement, educated people...all walks of life.

It is less harmful than alcohol, it does have medicinal properties and it has been given a bad reputation by primarily uptight people that have no clue.
