Just what Walker county needs, more ways for people to get high. Right now in my life I don't have time to drug test my employees everytime they go to lunch. I don't think I can aford the liability insurance I would need to cover them when I send them to work on my customers property.

oh? Soooo it's ok to fry you brain cells even if that is a sin, it's not ok to be gay. It must be nice to pick and choose what you think is a sin. Maybe your brain is already fried. Too much weed I guess .

I believe we waste to much money on arresting people who like marijuana. We could make it legal and tax it so that those dollars go to our schools! Hello yea to our schools!!!!

Yes, I do. I have been using marijuana for many of my illnesses, for 30 years. Because the drs. couln't find a med that was right to treat my many illnessnes. So, when I tried marijuana, it is a "miracle (drug)natural herb". You noticed I said "natural herb". So, why do people like myself have to spend almost 50% of their total income every month, for all these man made drugs (loaded with side effects, even death) when sometimes they don't even work?!Instead, I could take a small % of my income and buy a bag or box of "natural herbs" that is helpful for many of my illnessess. I mean, it's a no brainer??!! I think the only reason it's not already legalized, is because the Gov. is afraid they can't figure out how to make a trillion dollar profit off of it. I guarantee, when the Gov. does find a way to make trillions off of "legalized marijuana" it would be sold in every store in AL. And they could add a small tax to it and have enough money for the funding we need here in Alabama for our schools, our childrens education.? Ijust hope one politian would jump on the band wagon, so they can understand all of the pros for "legalizing marijuana". Our school systems and education rate would have the money they need to properly teach our children, they are our future leaders of tomorrow. Ponder, on that awhile.

Because everyone seems to be doing it around here anyway, better it be legal and bought from stores than to remain illegal and in the hands of the same people who sell crack and meth, whom unlike a regulated store, won't ask your kids for an ID.

I've lived in Jasper Alabama most of my life and have never smoked an ounce of pot. Friends and realities have and I can't say I'm against it. As we all know, walker county has a drug problem, drinking, crack, meth, coke, cigs (though everywhere has that). I'd say weed is the least to worry about.
For one, I'm my opinion, weed isn't a 'drug', its a natural herb.(unless you coat it with some other shit) You can't get addicted by anything in it (if you are its more of a mental addiction) you can't die of lung or mouth cancer (at least I've never heard of any cases, and not once have I heard of a near death experience due to pot. But with cigarettes, alcohol, meth, and other drugs I've heard a lot, especially death.
I do believe there are side effects to pot such as faster heart beat, lack of motivation, etc. But overall I think if you can get drinks, smokes, and pills to take and get addicted to, you should be able to get some weed.

Because the war on drugs is foolish. Expensive....and foolish.
