I watched what happened in California when Prop. 215 passed. Medical Marijuana is incredibly abused. I also believe it can really help people. The doctors that give the Rx are just as bad as those who abuse it. Where to put better controls? Dr.'s.

Its an herb, grown from the ground and sometimes smoked. I would much rather people be able so smoke marijuana to calm there nerves rather than drink and get irrational and violent.

opium and, from that, heroin, also comes from a plant grown in the ground

love the recent news reports about George Michael getting sent to jail for crashing his SUV (again - makes what, 6 times now?) through a store front while high on marijuana

I do not smoke weed but i do not oppose the legalization of it. all the smuggling and people being locked up for it I think of it just like prohibition alcohol being banned make it legal and people will stop doing stupid shit to get it just tax it like anything else. if people are going to smoke it they are going to smoke it.

As with anything pot can be addictive. It all boils down to self control. Some people like to drive fast some prefer meth others overeat and still we have pill and crack heads. Liquor has always been the bain of man and no one can control it now.I've worked with alcoholics and pot heads and prefer niether. But as with anything if self control is not imposed nothing else will make a difference. Pot heads should never have to see the inside of a jail for simple possession. Totally waiste of taxpayer funds. Same goes for the war on drugs, a complete failure and waste of taxpayer money especially when the cost of helicopter flying with DEA national guard and sheriff dept is around $1800 per hour. Never worked and never will. Nott for legalization but decriminalation and taxation. Take the money out of the drug dealers hands allow personal growth with appropriate taxation. nuff said!!

WHY is it illegal? It was initially made illegal in the 1930's to promote paper mill production and the other competition that the hemp industry was so close to dominating. With 16,000 different uses for industrial hemp, it is a no-brainer.
As for medical cannabis, anyone who denies a cancer patient the right to use medical cannabis should be FORCED to watch them suffer without it. Thank you for reading this.

I am merely curious, what happened to those who abused it?

So then ban alcohol too. Oh wait, that didn't work the first time. People are to control themselves with cannabis just as they are to control themselves with anything.

I would not have to take "Man made medication"
I would be able to have relief from "GOD MADE"
Medications for pain is addicting and also the damage on your Liver and Kidneys..

Do people get drunk and do this things?
Do you go to your work drunk just because alcohol is legal?
There is something called personal responsibility.
The product is there, just like firearms, gasoline, knives. It's up to the people not to do bad things.

I think you might want to rephrase that, Heather.
