It would be nice to have it decriminalized and legalized, regulated and given a clean bill of health for recreational and medical use. It was given a bad rap back in 1927 by Senator Huey P. Long of Mississippi.

Marijuana is a dangerous drug. Those who say otherwise just want to be allowed to smoke and sell without being apprehended.

I'm a registered voter and I'm voting yes!!! Here's why

1.People whose chose to ingest something as safe as marijuana should be able to do so without having to go to a drug dealer and be subject to violence and other drugs.

2.Drug dealers who prey on children need to be punished severely and prop 19 makes it a bigger crime to supply anyone under the age of 21 marijuana

3.Its already the biggest cash crop in california. why would anyone want to keep that money in the hands of drug dealers? we really could use the money and regardless of what you believe SAFE. there have been many studies and they are easy to find..

4. give adults a safer alternative to alcohol. its no secret that alcohol creates a lot of society's problems along with hard drugs. when a robbery or murder is committed and marijuana is involved its always because of the money the marijuana is worth. if prop 19 passes it will be nowhere worth what it is now so nobody will be willing to kill somebody over it when its worth nothing

I could think of a zillion more reasons to vote yes but I'm too stoned right now..

you guys are all bitching and moaning right now but I bet most of you dont realize that there are marijuana dispensaries all around you right now here in hemet. I think seeing that the mexican cartel's want prop 19 to fail is enough reason to vote yes.. ok I gotta take another hit brb

As a medical supplier legalizing would deeply cut into my profits. Keep it criminalized so our collective can keep selling to people with fake scrips and kids that wander in off the street.

Marijuana is a fantastic drug. I have never been around someone that has used weed and was violent. This society is too violent and maybe everybody needs a joint.

While many drugs clearly fall into the category of either stimulant, depressant, or hallucinogen, cannabis exhibits a mix of all properties, perhaps leaning the most towards hallucinogenic or psychedelic properties, though with other effects quite pronounced as well. Though THC is typically considered the primary active component of the cannabis plant, various scientific studies have suggested that certain other cannabinoids like CBD may also play a significant role in its psychoactive effects.[10]

I am 59 years old. I suffer from severe back pain due to erosion of discs. I have also suffered for years from migraines. Vicotin does not help. Oxycodone does not help. I am so tired of having pain. Believe me if I could try marijuana to see if it gets rid of the pain, I certainly would. But of course my doctor says use vitamins. I need a break.

Excuse me, I neither smoke it nor sell it, and your statement is part of the myth of marijuana that it is a 'dangerous drug.' In saner days, before Senator Huey P. Long (read that story, please) had it declared an illegal narcotic so his cotton buddies could maintain their crop's #1 status in the state of Mississippi in 1927), people planted, grew, and smoked it. Even then it's medicinal value was recognized. Read up.

The City of Hemet has been lost to the leaches of society already. They would be smart to market Hemet as the place to go and buy weed. Tax it and make money on it. Maybe then citizens of Murrieta and Temecula would drive to Hemet to spend their money, instead of the other way around. Right now the only people coming to Hemet are gangs and people looking for the social services that the city has too much of.

They seem harmless. Elections have consequences.
prop 215 is the law.
This is not a Republican vs Democrat thing.
Many Republicans support MM laws but will not speak up publicly because of the leftwingers hate speech and anti-american message associated with the legalization movement.
