The government needs to do a better job at convincing the American voters if they want to continue on with this prohibition of marijuana. They claim that the plant is dangerous and deadly, yet they can't provide any proof or evidence to back these claims up. If you want to know the FACTS about marijuana then click on the link below.

The money spent for crimes against marijuana in taxes, could be money made from taxing marijuana. No one has ever died from marijuana, unlike alcohol which is taxed and legal. I think it's stupid to keep it illegal, there's no harmful side effects when your on it.

How can marijuana offenders be equated to drugs such as heroin? Through the Controlled Substance Act of 1970 as schedule 1 substances. Marijuana offenders experience similar consequences as the legacy of youth or bad luck. Everyone makes poor decisions, but to equate a possession of marijuana with that of heroin, LSD, or other highly addictive and destructive substances, the punishments are simply unjust. Decriminalization of marijuana would lead to a greater degree of understanding and would enable young individuals to learn responsibility rather than being convicted and punished as criminals

I have chronic back pain and have been on opiates over 3 years. I saw a special on the tube about this issue. I tried it and in seconds I felt a tingling relaxing sensation that went straight to my pain area. I could not believe the results. How did it go to the exact location of my pain. I was pain free for about 3 hours. I spoke to a physician about this and he/she told me that smoking it could cause lung cancer from the warm smoke, so I haven't touched it since. If this is not the case, then I will be the first one in line WHEN it becomes legal n VA. History has been known to repeat itself so its just a matter of time.

the "studies" conducted on marijuana display correlation, not causation. They are also highly biased. In my opinion, marijuana is less dangerous than alcohol. When you drink too much you can seriously hurt yourself and those around you. When you smoke too much, you fall asleep.

Marijuana is a great way to combat anxiety, depression, anger issues, anything. Alcohol is legal and that feeds all of these, causes traffic accidents, and can lead to some poor decision making. I find it funny that the people who are keeping it from being legalized these days are probably those who were heavy users in the 70's, why keep others from potentially enjoying happier, healthier lives?

I personally support marijuana for a few reasons......one i have a serious eating complex, my body does not have an appetite (i never feel hungry) i have been very well known by everyone to go days even weeks without eating & feeling no after affects from not eating.....i end up losing a lot of weight very fast which for me is very bad because my largest weight has never been over 135lbs....Marijuana i have found gives me an appetite that allows me to feel hungry......second i support it for my sleeping problems & anxiety.....i have severe anxiety problems & marijuana calms me down a lot (it relaxes me) i have tried lots of medications & none have worked (some have made my anxiety worse) i even had a reaction once to anxiety medication that gave me homicidal thoughts & i immediately stopped taking it....the seldom use of marijuana helps me a lot....third i support marijuana because it really truly helps with nausea better than finigan or any other anti nausea medication ive ever tried.....i do not support drug dealers in any way (thats wrong) i do not support any other drugs (hell i dont even support alcohol because even alcohol does bad damadge as well as cigarettes......i have never once hear of anyone smoking marijuana & crashing a car like drunk drivers or catching lung cancer like cigarette smokers......i am in full support of the legalization of marijuana
