500,000 die from tobacco, 30,000 2nd hand smoke per year, countless from alcohol and no one ever from just marijuana. Not to mention at least 200,000 in jail for multipal chgs for small amts.! Ridiculous!

I think it is less dangerous than alcohol. And as we all know alcohol is legal. I think everyone would be amazed at who really smokes it, it is rampant.

No I do not I have several sever medicial problems and if I can get along with meds my Dr gives I beleive everyone can. The Drug Problems in this Country has always been out of control and untill we as the people make a stand against makeing street drugs legal this war will never see an end.
Our children need to be taught just what Marijuana, Cocain, PCP, Herion and all the others can do to them. People harp on cigarets and second hand smoke, but they won't to legalize streed drugs What's wrong with this Picture.

it is not harmful. in fact i watched my father be murdered and have now been diagnosed with ptsd have been treated by a docter and can not live nor function on the meds that they perscribed i stopped taking and started smoking marijuana after two years of crying every day. now i have my bad days but i dont cry every day and can somewhat have a life, without it i know what i would be like. the man who murdered my daddy was intensivly intoxicated on alcohol, since when do you hear of someone on marijuana commiting murdered, you dont. it needs to be legal for many reasons. to who thinks that it is in the same category as cocaine pcp and heroin well that just shows ignorance maybe you have not ever experienced a tragedy or have a medical reason to need it or you just are liking narcotics which when abused takes lives

1st -- Marijuana is not even "physically" addictive, like cigarettes, alcohol, & most prescription drugs. It is addictive by habit only,
2nd -- In my line of work I see, on a daily basis, people killed in car wrecks, women & children beaten up, fights, burglary, etc..the list goes on and on. Maybe 1% of these crimes are committed by someone, or a result of the quest for, Marijuana! However, the majority (99%)of them are DIRECT results of, or happen in search of, Alcohol/dangerous drugs/even cigarettes,(smash and grab burglaries), and in these crimes someone is usually injured, killed or loses thousands in damage.
Marijuana is nothing more than a natural herb, similar in nature to any vitamin ingredient or "natural cure" medicine/remedy.
I agree it should not be allowed to be sold on the streets & I think other drugs should result in heavy punishment, but I would like the government, or anyone to give a good, educated answer to this question,
How is it ok & legal that I can sit and drink (at home or in a public place) as much alcohol as I desire, yet I can't even grow my own simple plant and enjoy the natural, medically proven, relaxing and calm affecting pleasure of Marijuana?
It's all a matter of the government. The only way for them to profit in marijuana is by fines/bonds placed on the individual who uses it. Alcohol related incidents should result in higher costing, more punishable results.
Enough said, Thank you for your time!

ive never heard of anyone dying from marijuana, however drugs and acohol cause more deaths than cancer. and everyone gets all upset when someone starts or gets caught smoked marijuana. we have lawywers, judges, doctors, you name it, they support it. there is not a reason to lock people up for this and keep it illegal. other than the cops in the town making money off of it, when it would make triple that as a cash crop

Natural, clean, not physically addictive - proven medically healthy - safer for everyone than alcohol & cigarettes - only results in crime because Government says you can't possess it -
GOD GIVEN NATURAL!!!!
any more reasons needed?

The simple reason is That I own my body and the government has NO right to tell me what I can are can not put into it. America is a so called free country. The Declaration of Independence says that my body comes from god just like my other inalienably rights, If you think drugs are illegal to protect you you are a sheep. The government allows food corporations to fill our food with untold number of drugs. Drugs are illegal for one reason, the money it pumps into the governments coffers

It's not mind altering, it doesn't kill you. It's just a plant

My doctor suggested that my mom buy me some weed due to the fact I was 8 yrs. old and 50 lbs. The doctor wanted to prevent the need of having a feeding tube put in my stomach so I would gain weight and not lose my life to cancer. After that, I started to eat a lot (obviously after she bought it), slept better, and I was able to be treated without delay due to my weight. I would not be alive today if it was not for marijuana. Here I am 11 1/2 yrs. letter able to type this explanation for my support of the legalization of cannabis.
