Marijuana is a "Gateway" drug, ask anyone who is using other drugs and by far the largest percentage will tel you that they started by using marijuana. It serves no purpose other than to remove any drive a person might have!!!!

drinking and driving is against the law,but bars everywhere, parking lots full, people are driving and killing, but with marijuana people slow down in a calming way, start laughing and become caring and it helps with pain and depression. IT WAS PUT HERE BY GOD TO BE USED! GOD knows best ,NOT GOVERMENT!!!!!!!!!!

I support it because fighting it is a waste of US Tax dollars, as opposed to the government making money, by regulating, and taxing it. Rather see kids smoking, than drinking. Never heard of a stoned driver killing a bus full of people.

You people get over yourselves. You have no reason to fight the legalization except for some vague prejudice, based on nothing but personal opinion. The so called War on Drugs costs tax payers MILLIONS each year. Why not legalize, regulate, and tax it, to MAKE money as opposed to wasting tax payer dollars on a war that cannot be won. Abolish all drug, and gun laws, and let the morons weed themselves out. It would save tax payer millions, and get rid of a lot of the burden on the welfare system at the same time. Drinking is legal, and in my personal opinion (that being a reformed drunk) it is much, much worse than smoking a little pot. AMEN!!

Marijuana, actually this is a term coined by the powers that be, back in the day; research marihuana, and you'll understand.

Cannibis or Hemp was used by more countries and people for thousands of years.

The reason Cannabis has gotten a bad name is because every American Citizen who hasn't been educated on the subject is under a false sociological perspective borne from the "Reefer Madness" propaganda of the 30's.

Cannabis has medical-use and it is a matter of time before the remaining states will allow the prescription of it. This move actually will help more people than it will hurt, since it will be regulated and the level of THC will be more consistent, not to mention put the criminal element out of business; by this you can take it to mean: the criminals that sell it and the law enforcement communities which derive a temporary cash-flow from it.

When will Arkansas realise you can't make tax money out of "sin taxes." Once they dry up, it's gone and your in a fix.

Cannabis is NOT a gateway drug, as the propaganda suggests, and if you believe that, perhaps getting a college degree from any four-year university will open your eyes. Verifying what is truth and what is propaganda is critical in this society; there are so many blind people out there who need to see what's going on and quit being led like sheep.

Cannabis has valid medical-use and if you think differently, your logic is flawed; quit using the "ad hominem" fallacies or other to support your flawed arguments.

There is clear evidence that marijuana alters one's sense and response time much like alcohol, yet there is no way establish a time frame of consumption or level of affect currently. We have enough problems with drunk driving already that I believe we are not ready to introduce a lethal combination to society without a means of understanding it.

The debate over Marijuana is entirely based-upon "Propaganda." During Prohibition, Hemp was realized to be a "threat" to the major corporations, and a propaganda campaign was launched to "criminalize" it; and we've been living in the effects since.

It's time to put-away all of the "hype" and "disinformation;" Marijuana isn't a gateway drug. The proof is in the fact that Marijuana has no phyisical dependency, unline Nicotine, which is more powerful than Heroin.

Cocaine contains more physically addictive attributes to cause dependency; but alcohol is the worst and most destructive, while being freely available.

It is amazing to find so many "uninformed" and "mislead" opinions perpetrated by "propagandists," in this country which furthers an attitude based not on scientific evidence, but fallacious arguments which soil the collective mindset of the people's perspective. This is motivated by "religious beliefs" based-on ignorance, fear of others who are different, and others who do not agree with uninformed opinions.

And to realize some of these "propagandists" are sitting in undeserved seats of power which direct influence over their constituents. Truly, a horrible situation, which will bring dire times and hardship once realized; but cleaning-out propaganda and replacing it with transparency of truth must prevail.

Debate is the first way of opening a dialog of different perspectives; a concensus which is fair and just is necessary and essential. It must be done to preserve truth where all things reside, in any order, whether natural or spiritual.

Judge not, lest you be judged. Turning the other cheek is agreeing to allow manipulation and both fall into the ditch.

Be vigilant, be fair, but most of all, raise yourself to be forever-reproving. The pursuit of excellence and striving for perfection, no matter the personal cost, is noble and worthy.

You're comparing two different things; the result would be skewed, and makes your argument invalid.

Propaganda.

You must have 2 solid and valid premiss to equal a valid argument, your case lacks both = invalid.

The most disturbing thing about this ill-waged "war on drugs," is that innocent people are in prison and persecuted for propaganda's sake. It is time to reverse this trend and to "heal" the people.

ARGUMENT:

1. Jesus broke the law to heal the sick.
2. Kaneh Bosm is the Ancient Kannabis, an ingredient in Holy Annointing Oil.

Conclusion: Cannabis is the Tree of Life; nothing is to be refused when taken in thanksgiving.

Don't believe this? It's printed in your KJV Bible, with the mistranlation of "Sweet Calamus" replacing "Kaneh Bosm," proven by a well-reknown Israeli Professor. Do some research and be objective and you'll come to the conclusion of the truth; unless you wish to be led-around by the nose by zealots who are ignorant of how things really are...

Eazyvz is correct...

I bet if you asked them if they drank alcohol or smoked cigarettes before marijuana, they would say "yes" which effectively invalidates your argument.
Marijuana is NOT a gateway drug, no more than all of the other countless prescription drugs. You're basing your conclusion on fallacious argument, much like, "Reefer Madness" propaganda.
