I am against this as it can cause cancer of lung far faster than cigarettes. It creates a mind altering factor that cigarettes do not. Alcohol is not on my agenda to agree to have legal either for the same reason.
Whomever is going to get high on what they find they can. We do not have to help them! On this block I live on we have a Govt approved "garden" up the block. Already the safety of the block is jeopardized! Many of the users that get this legally or illegally need the cash. So we are prime. Three dogs poisoned in a row here, also. Take dogs away & we are more vulnerable? Is this the "society" you wish? Brain Cronked kids & adults out there thinking with boggled up minds?
NOT GOOD for society as a whole. We are going in reverse instead of forward to good & better things. This is ridiculous.

Capitalism without the Union is slavery. The Medford fools ask for a million for a methadone clinic because so much heroin is flooding the area thanks to CIA.

Tobacco and alcohol is worse, don't take my word on it, google the three of them and see for yourself which one is the safest. We may as well stop destroying people's lives by given them a criminal record for choosing the lesser of three evils.

Other children conceived inthe radiation of Hanford, got settlements, and medical care. I was left to rot. With nothing but marijuana to get me by. Since 1959. And now, the others are all dead. I am the last man standing. Either through lack of attention from our medical community, or through pot. Both are strong possibilities.

Cannabis is a natural herb that has so many health benefits that it's almost ridiculous that it's considered a drug. It could replace antidepressants, anti-anxiety medications and keep people from taking harmful opiates for pain. NOBODY has ever died from cannabis ingestion and it usually gives people a mellow, humorous mood. And unfortunately, as long as it's classified as a drug and teens experiment with it (which they do) they will get the idea that drugs aren't as bad as they were told which leads them to be less afraid to take actual drugs which destroy lives. If it were legalized and classified as something other than a drug, more time could be spent educating our young about what "real" drugs actually do to people and prosecuting the dealers of the real drugs. It's good for medical purposes and for people (like myself) with horrible tempers. It helps with fibromyalgia, any chronic pain really (without the harmful side effects of opiates), depression, anxiety, chemotherapy side effects, insomnia and really gives assholes a better attitude. It makes people less vulnerable to hate, greed and fear. I didn't smoke in my youth. Nor in my twenties. It took years of strep throat here and stress there. Being prescribed very harmful and poisonous drugs for things with side effects for me to try it. I don't like smoking because my lungs are the only ones I will have for the rest of my life so I soak it in glycerine for a while and take it in dropper form for my insomnia and pain issues and it's a miracle for me. And with cannabis, I don't have the side effects of psychotropic meds for my insomnia and stress which hurt you long term by affecting your brain (your body doesn't respond differently to a drug just because a doctor prescribed it.) I know I will still be able to feel happy naturally in life which would be jeopardized with antidepressants or sleeping pills which you get addicted to and you eventually need the drug just for your brain to release the peptides which form happiness. I know if I use cannabis for pain, I won't be putting addictive opiates in my body which are terrible for you and destroy your digestive system. I don't have to have some asshole doctor who spends all of five minutes face time with me and who really couldn't tell me my name without a chart in their hands in control of my body and my health. Wow, I could go on forever. We really do need to quit labeling this herb as a drug. The only reason why it's illegal is because the government can't profit off of it (a two-year-old could grow it) and pharmaceutical companies will lose money. As with a glass of wine, people need to be mindful to not drive on it but it's not harmful. I wish I would have tried it earlier.

If they'll lift the tax burden from alcohol, I'd be willing to accept it on us pot smoker's backs. We are simply recretional or ill. They are addicts, prone to life threatening amusements. Yes,you can tax me for that. But would I pay for what you pose to me as education, and justice systems? Fat chance.

Yes...much to gain my legalizing pot for the potheads! Making more "pillars of society," Obama-Style, eh?
I figured you right-wingers would be all over this, considering how much money the gov't stands to make off of it.
