When was the last time you saw anyone stand up and receive a citation for some heroic act, or just graduate from college, earn a degree or Nobel Prize and say "I never would have gotten here if I hadn't started smoking pot when I was 13. Thanks Mom and Dad for being so cool!"

natural grown plants should not be illegal especially when the medicinal benefits are crucial to many people. alcohol should be illegal if marijuana is. statistics show by huge numbers that fatal vehicle accidents involving alcohol is way more prevalent than marijuana involved accidents. also the number of domestic violence calls resulting from alcohol extremely out weighs calls resulting from someone who's smoked marijuana. alcohol has been proven to cause far more issues to this society than marijuana. yet it can be purchased at any store easily. you don't hear about a few college kids smoking weed then getting into fights or driving around high recklessly. can't say the same for alcohol. I've also found in my study that almost half of the anti-marijuana people still smoke it privately and are afraid to admit it for the fear of being outside the "social norm" and or be judged by people who don't understand the good that comes from marijuana. oh and if you're one of those narrow minded fools who believe marijuana is a "gateway" drug, well you better look at cigarettes, prescribed meds, mtv, lack of education, alcohol...etc....those are the things i would worry about. not a natural god given plant that hasn't been chemically altered or created in a lab. its grown in the same way a tomato is. try it before you preach how bad it is.

You should be careful, by using the word "moons" you have disclosed who you really are. I have read that on many other forums.

Yes...much to gain my legalizing pot for the potheads! Making more "pillars of society," Obama-Style, eh?
You are very ignorant. The only people driving 70 miles per hour are those consuming alcohol. Obese Americans are a direct result of our fast food mentality that is broadcast to people like you who sit around watching the Fox network. Put your bottle down and get your fact straight!

Un-supervised is opening Pandora's box...almost always bound to go awry & backfire upon society in terrible ways. We have enough kids on drugs now!
Why should Marijiana be depended by doctors? Alcohol doesn't need a prescription and it kills thousands each year. So many young people die from alcohol over dosing each year. How ignorant our society. A bunch of steeple!

there is no good reason not to legalize it. Simple as that. The war on drugs, and massive horribly dangerous widespread pharmaceuticals available to anyone is a much more monumental danger to society and our children than marijuana ever could be. We have to be degrading as a society for it to be 2012 and it still not being legal, or at least available to all those poor suffering people, dieing and have to take pills through the last length of their lives. We need to use our voice for those who have no voice!

It is a highly addictive drug and reduces motivation in kids and adults. In other words it makes people stupid

You have a good imagination, but I really doubt any of these fears will really manifest.
