marijuana is just a plant and it helps people meditate...its not bad at all. But alcohol isnt illegal and it sometimes the cause of peoples death. Why isnt that illegal, so marijuana isnt bad if you look at it from that point of view.

I believe drugs are a crutch and if you use drugs you need to think about that, however I don't think they should be illegal. We waste too much time and resources on this, especially with MJ.

i think it is ridiculous for people who have helath problems and live in a a state where medical marijuana isn't provided, to sneak around and sometimes even get caught by local law inforcement, just for trying to get some bit of relif in their day.

One of the problems that the marijuana reform movement consistently faces is that everyone wants to talk about what marijuana does, but no one ever wants to look at what marijuana prohibition does.

Marijuana never kicks down your door in the middle of the night and puts a fully loaded assault rifle in your face. Marijuana never locks up sick and dying people in cages with rapist and murders. Marijuana does not suppress medical research. Marijuana does not peek in bedroom windows. Marijuana does not take away kids scholarships.

Even if one takes every reefer madness allegation of the prohibitionists at face value, marijuana prohibition has done far more harm to far more people than marijuana ever could.

I think they should keep marijuana illegal and treat its users like criminals, as it will keep the police busy and prisons full... building prisons and hiring cops, judges, lawyers, and wardens is the best kind of economic stimulus!!!

For Christ's sake, marijuana is nearly harmless whereas alcohol is extremely toxic yet it's not only legal, it's use is encouraged. If marijuana were legal, imagine the resources freed up from pursing it as a crime. This is not to mention the government could have their cake and eat it too by making a fortune from the taxes it would bring in. So lots of tax dollars, extra government resources, and happy citizens.. Where's the problem? Oh yeah, nothing ever gets done in government.

If marijuana were legal, imagine the resources freed up from pursing it as a crime. I personally don't smoke it, but I did a lot when I was younger and I never had a single issues with it. People who aren't subject to drug tests will smoke it if they want to anyway and it harms no one. This is not to mention the government could have their cake and eat it too by making a fortune from the taxes it would bring in.
